If sanctions worked we wouldn't be where we are now. Lifting them is not support, you exaggerate. We will not be supporting them. Lifting sanctions will be a good message to the people of Iran. They are the ones who suffer from sanctions, not the leaders. They can see the world is better when everyone gets along.
How is lifting sanctions not assisting them?
How is your response "we would be where we are now" consistent with the idea that Iran is interested in being nice, following any rules or living peacefully?
The only exaggeration is your inflated idea the people of Iran are going to sway the government into acting differently because they think we care.
You still haven't offered any reasonable suggestion of how this is supposed to result in peace ... By lifting sanctions on the government of Iran.
