They are trying to win the house because the Senate is out of reach but the major problem of the Ds are at the state and local level. A mostly slow erosion of job openings and house prices combined with tax increases as far as the eye can see. Why aren't the Ds addressing this problem?
Because they don't have much of an individual donor base. The institutional donors; unions, wealthy leftists and so on don't have a lot in common with the average voter but the donors in both parties demand a big voice in their own party. There is a smaller political gap between R voters and R donors than in the Democratic party and that is killing them.
