The effective way to keep criminals out of gun stores and gun shows...

I have posted this idea before but with hilary pushing Australian gun confiscation and universal background checks...it is time to suggest it again...

The best way to stop criminals from going to gun stores and gun shows and stopping them from getting guns from private sales......

When they are convicted of their felony....put a no guns allowed tattoo on their shoulder.

What does this do...

One of the two ways criminals get guns is through straw purchasers....the one technique used is the felon goes into the gun store with the straw buyer and points out the gun he wants....

The tattoo on the shoulder stops this cold. The gun store, the gun show, could have a policy of asking all customers to show their shoulders before they are allowed in the store...........

Right now..there is no way to tell if the guy at the counter is a felon without running a background check.

If you have a straw purchaser at the counter with a felon, you check their shoulders and if the one guy has a tattoo...you can ban both of them from your store....straw purchasing will then have to change........

Same with the private sale....if you want to stop felons from getting guns from private sales...this is the best way...any private seller can just check the shoulder of the buyer and tell immediately, without a universal background check, if the buyer can legally buy the gun....

That is also why I like the idea of a brand......

And no, gun control won't keep guns out of their hands....re read my post...I already said that....

Felons will still steal their guns or get a straw purchaser to buy them....what the tattoo or the brand does is take the burden off of the normal gun owner and puts it on the actual felon.....

The normal gun owner selling his old rifle or pistol will know immediately if the buyer is a felon by simply looking at his shoulder...and thus ends the need for a universal background check.....

gun stores and shows can simply have a guy at the door to check shoulders....stopping felons from ever entering their stores or shows.......

Felons will still get guns...but this protects the individual seller, and prevents gun stores from getting sued.....

Since the 2nd amendment was written to protect us from the government, I would be against that. If the hammer comes down on American citizens, I want as many people as possible owning guns. And what would stop government from making bogus charges against citizens so they could tattoo them? I would rather allow open carry and eliminate gun free zones to deter criminals.

they'd just have their friends go in and buy the gun for them without them in the store....you know they'd find a way around the new regs....

plus, at gun shows, it's people without a record buying 40 guns and selling them on the street through the black market... just recently, a guy in chicago bought 43 guns at a gun show in another state and sold them on the street in Chicago to thugs...

I posted about that...he was caught without licensing gun owners, without registering guns and without universal background checks....he was caught using old school police work....they had an informant?.

Yes..and I have already said that several times...the point to the tattoo is it ends the need for 95% of current background checks, and emds the need for universal background checks...since any private seller will know immediately if the buyer is a convicted felon by looking at their shoulder...no need to pay for a background check



It also stops the next Badger Sporting goods law suit....gun stores can simply ask that all customers show them their left shoulder to get in the store.....ending direct access to gun stores and ranges by felons.

I have looked it up...the info. I have seen says purple and green are two colors that are almost impossible to remove....
