Right coast, classified
They are:

  • New York with $9.8 billion in lost income
  • Illinois worth $3.9 billion
  • New Jersey, $3.8 billion
  • California, $3.5 billion
  • Pennsylvania, $1.9 billion
Anyone see anything in common?
Yeah. Like when the Berlin Wall fell everyone ran in one direction only.
Away from socialism.

And those States continue to increase their spending.

And like California, Florida is unaffordable for middle class people. You brag you don't have state taxes?

According to data gathered by this report, home insurance is costing Florida homeowners an estimated $6,000 per year compared to the national average of $1,700, in what the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) described to be a “man-made crisis.”

People are leaving Florida. The high earners can afford it though. Just like in California.

CA & NY cannot afford to lose tax revenue!!

Florida is a cheap place to live. The price of homes is lower than any state in the Northeast, Midwest or the West coast.

So how much do FL folks save on income taxes and sales taxes and school taxes, and other taxes? Probably a lot more than the $4,300 difference in insurance premiums.

Not in Fort Lauderdale. Not in Miami, Boca, all the best places. Naples and all those places. Are you insane?

And I just showed you the national average to insure a home is like $2K and in FL it's like $8000 a year. Who can afford that? Plus I showed you that insurance companies even realize this climate change is man made, and for real.

I knew it.

Though the state has long had a reputation for being an inexpensive place to live, housing costs are high. Rents and sale prices are both well above national averages. However, the overall cost of living in the state is about on par with the national average.

I found this and it was what I expected.

Now add to that this headline

Florida’s homeowner insurance rates are four times the national average. That’s not getting better anytime soon

Are you sure because I just read that housing costs are high. Rents and sale prices are both well above national averages.

New York States budget is LARGER THAN TEXAS AND FLORIDAS COMBINED!!

Good luck finding affordable insurance.

House Speaker Paul Renner says homeowners insurance market will stabilize ‘in a couple of years’

Do you believe him? Then I have a home in Florida I want to sell you. LOL.

“It took years to get in the ditch and it will take a couple of years to get out of it,” Renner said.

due to claims made during Hurricanes Ian and Nicole last year. These “are really creating some pressure on the back end of these reforms that we haven’t got out from under yet, but we will get out from under it,” Renner said.

Citizens Insurance policies.”

“And for those that don’t know, it’s supposed to be a last resort. If you can’t get anywhere else, you go to this government run Citizens program. And we have a real big number of folks that are on Citizens. We’ve got to depopulate that.”

I didn't know Florida had a socialist option

Gov. Ron DeSantis urged Florida homeowners to “knock on wood” and wait out the crisis during a radio interview earlier this month.

“I think they’re going to wait through this hurricane season and then I think they’re going to be willing to deploy more capital to Florida,” DeSantis said on the Howie Carr Show. “So, knock on wood, we won’t have a big storm this summer.

Knock on wood? That's his plan? In a year we're expecting Hurricanes to get worse?

This is what happens when you don't believe science. You resort to "fingers crossed" approaches to governing.

The departure of Farmers comes after seven other insurers went insolvent in the last year, and is an indication to many homeowners and observers that the state’s insurance market is still in crisis.

Scott is urging talks with companies leaving the state.

And Republicans point to Florida as an example of a well run state? Boy are they lucky they get all the tourism money they get.

Northern retirees move to Florida. Arizona if they suffer from allergies. This has been well known for many decades. I would doubt that many move there from California.

Those elders aren't going to pick up the slack for all of the hard working brown Floridians that are leaving the state in droves.

The worst part is those morons move to red states and keep voting for the same shit that ruined the states they are fleeing.

You can’t fix stupid.
