Warren "Tax Me More" Buffett's Company Sues IRS Over "Illegal" Taxation

NetJets, a unit of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc., this week sued the Internal Revenue Service over what it called an "illegal" $643 million tax assessment.

The IRS had determined that NetJets had failed to collect a "ticket tax" from its customers—the same tax that's paid by passengers every time they fly on a commercial flight.


"The IRS's assessments in this case improperly extend application of the ticket tax beyond commercial airline and charter passengers, to persons who own the aircraft on which they fly," the company said in the suit.

NetJets also claimed that the IRS hadn't attempted to assess such taxes on rival fractional-jet businesses, placing the company "at a significant disadvantage."

• At Occupy Cleveland, a 19-year-old told police she was raped after sharing a tent with an unknown man.
  
• After reporting her rape at Occupy Baltimore, a young woman claimed occupiers refused to help find her attacker.
  
• Reports of rape and attempted rape in Zuccotti Park are surfacing.

“In 2003, a survey of female veterans found that 30 percent said they were raped in the military. A 2004 study of veterans who were seeking help for post-traumatic stress disorder found that 71 percent of the women said they were sexually assaulted or raped while serving. And a 1995 study of female veterans of the Gulf and earlier wars, found that 90 percent had been sexually harassed.”

The BBC recently reported on The Lonely Soldier: The Private War of Women Serving in Iraq by Helen Benedict. This book examines the extreme difficulties female soldiers have in serving abroad. Benedict interviewed several women in the military to get a deeper understanding of the issue, and some of their stories were real eye openers.

Army specialist Chantelle Henneberry spoke of some of her experiences in Iraq, “Everybody’s supposed to have a battle buddy in the army, and females are supposed to have one to go to the latrines with, or to the showers – that’s so you don’t get raped by one of the men on your own side. But because I was the only female there, I didn’t have a battle buddy. My battle buddy was my gun and my knife.”

Another study concluded that 90% of all women serving are sexually harassed. Another one estimates that 90% of all the rapes do not get reported, despite supposedly easier ways to report the crime with confidentiality since 2005. Either way, this appears to be an epidemic that needs to be dealt with.

ABC has many resources at its disposal. If there are women who are being raped then how come they have not cited their sources. Surely they have an investigative reporter who can interview a raped vit.

If I were you, before I go bashing people about their views...I would do the research myself and know as much as I could about what same lame ass reporter on ABC says about rape.

Moreover, it is more likely than not, that ABC would not even report women being raped anywhere in the US unless they can tie it to OWS. One must ask themselves. Has ABC New ever been there for me? 99% of the population would reply NO. Yet the 1% of the population would say yes.

Suprise Day! OO insiders is made up of women. They are the think tank of the operation in Oakland. Despite what u may have heard on your local news ---Oakland has a huge community of the most wonderful caring and educated people in the whole world.
