Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response team

A Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response team, sometimes Visible Intermodal Protection and Response (VIPR, or VIPER) is a Transportation Security Administration program. Various government sources have differing descriptions of VIPR's exact mission. It is specifically authorized by 6 U.S.C. § 1112 which says that the program is to "augment the security of any mode of transportation at any location within the United States". Authority for the program is under the Secretary of Homeland Security. The program falls under TSA's Office of Law Enforcement.[1] TSA OLE shares responsibility for the program with the Office of Security Operations and Transportation Sector Network Management.[2]

The VIPR teams detain and search travelers at railroad stations, bus stations, ferries, car tunnels, ports, subways, truck weigh stations, rest areas, and special events.[3][4][5][6][7] They also can deploy to deal with CBRNE/WMD (chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear, and explosive weapons of mass destruction).[8] They also inspect ships, containers, and vehicles.[9]

You can't fight this with reforms or demonstrations. Civil disobedience in the face of a completely militarized police force is your last resort before you starting shooting cops. The cops are the primary enforcers of state terror and they're not all bad, oathkeepers and such. Need to reach out to the cops and get them on your side.

If you skip the civil disobedience phase and go straight to revolution then you'll lose, most importantly because you'll be characterized as terrorists and will not get the popular support from the sheep grazing at the Mall.

The state has militarized the police. It expects this to happen. Demonstrators are considered terrorists, so much in fact that redacted documents show that fatherland security was trying to create a strategy that would allow snipers to take out protest organizers.

I have to say that while Levin has, in the past, irked me to no end with his rabid and illogical rants against libertarian ideals, I have the greatest respect for what he just published. He's spot on with the idea that we're in desperate need of amendments to reign in the power of the central planners, even if we might disagree with some of the finer points.

Well said. No people in spite of their ideological similarities are going to agree on 100% of issues, 100% of the time.. He realizes that and covers it actually. It's not a demand for his way or the highway but yet an outline on how to overcome this runaway government civilly, without violence and restore the Constitution and her principles of freedom, less government.. for the people, by the people.
