Had a buddy who's dad had a string of coin operated car washes....and a drinking problem.
He'd steal the keys when he passed out and go around emptying the vacuum machines.
Anyone asked and he'd show the keys and say he he was helping out his old man.

How much do you charge for a pack of peanut butter crackers?

Legal excuse to carry a gun in NYC? Nice.
Do all your own accounting and taxes and all that shit? Legal agreements and contracts in place for the placement of vending machines? Handle customer complaints and issue refunds? Service the failed refrigerator units. Yawn! I'm bored already.

I've looked into vending machines...How do you get your vending machine into their building? Do you pay them rent or a fee?

Who do you talk to?

What types of buildings/businesses do you put your machines in?

I've read vending machines don't make money...LOCATION makes money!

My favorite local gin mill has one of those old school candy machines in it. You know the kind; you pt your money in, turn the handle, raise the metal flap and get your peanuts or red-hots or whatever the Hell is in there. Well, this machine is comprised of eight different individual choices.

Now, I've been going to this joint for the last seven years, at all times of day, and I've never seen anyone put money into this machine. Ever. No one has, either.

But there's a guy who comes around, like every two weeks, and refreshes the candy in it. He never takes out any money, though. Just removes old candy and puts in new candy.

Weird...

That's a good question. What's to prevent them from locksmithing and re-keying the vending machine in their building and finding someone else to stock it and service it at a more affordable rate?
