I agree that Terry ran against Trump. But Youngkin was able to show he was not Trump. Almost for sure, if Terry ran against trump in Virginia, he would win.

Trump is sweet and sour for all Republicans. That is why they cannot afford to openly support him on all issues and they cannot criticize him or pay the price of losing the minions, about 20% of needed votes. They lose the whackos, 20% 0f their electorate they will not win many races.
