They are releasing the senate negotiators proposed immigration bill

Hey! Page 90!

Our Dims are enthralled. They seek corporate welfare for the very military industrial complex companies they used to be alarmed about.

Biden keeps talking about using F-15's, or F-16's, against Americans in the USA, so naturally the Democrats love the military now as they loved it in 1861 when they becsme the Confederacy.

Sec. 3301. Border emergency authority.
• Creates Sec. 244B of the Immigration and Nationality Act which grants the Secretary of
Homeland Security new emergency authority to respond to extraordinary migration
circumstances. The “border emergency authority” may be exercised if the 7-day average
number of cumulative encounters of inadmissible aliens is between 4,000 and 5,000 per day
and must be exercised if the 7-day average is above 5,000 per day.

Let me be clear.FUCK THIS BILL!!

For this interested, starting at p. 205, we finally get to emergencies at the border.

It starts at the bill’s “TITLE III”

At the bottom of p. 211 we get to the issue of the average daily number of aliens encountered each day at the border (in a 7 day period) when that average is 4,000 or more.

Except, the secretary’s sole and unreviewable discretion isn’t discretionary anymore when the 7 day average goes over 5,000.

If you get an average per 7 day period of 4,999, the secretary isn’t legally required to do a damn thing.

1,824,635 of encountered aliens without this law requiring any action be taken.

And this is what the Dims want the Republicans to go along with.

And they MUST STILL PROCESS 1400 A DAY IN EMERGENCY

There follows a lengthy section regarding Afghan people to whom the U.S. owes some debt. Kind of verbose but overdue.

Then we get to a new Title. Title IV. See p.305.

“Promoting Legal Immigration.”

I’m not sure we need to promote it. But as opposed to illegal immigration, it is certainly preferable.

rightwinger will be happy to note that the official (proposed) bill does not contain any explicit reference to immigrants who may come under the Dreamers act consideration.

Also, Care4all, haven’t seen a thing in this proposed bill which explicitly addresses any new scheme to a “pathway to citizenship.”

Most of those from Afghanistan who helped us were murdered or went into hiding.

Too damn late on that and still the issue of vetting.

Perhaps not a perfect analog

But close.
