They're Trying To Compare Obamacare With Katrina Now

Poor people m ight actually get health insurance. How horrible.

Much worse than letting them drown like kittens like Bush did.

Since when is Health Care a right?
Where was the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana, dipshit.
Using your logic - the typhoon in the Phillippines is Obama's fault.

What a blathering asswipe...
Healthcare is a TAX. SCOTUS said as much ;)

Poor people can always go to an overcrowded emergency room and get treated with minimum care by an overworked resident, so what are you guys complaining about.

Ummm, yeah.

Jesus, do you people even hear yourselves sometimes?

if it's good enough for soldiers and veterans it's good enough for the poor.......

Are you referring to the VA?The Best Care Anywhere - Phillip Longman

Oddly, the "government healthcare" y'all are so afraid of (the VA and Medicare) score high in customer satisfaction.

Single Payer!

Because satisfaction is all that matters, right?
Yeah single payer has worked so well every where else they are dropping it like a pork cutlet at an Orthodox bar mitzva.
VA?s reputation for health care takes a thrashing - Washington Post

You sound like a poster who is ignorant to the harm Obamacare poses to ALL Americans.

Just how superficial and immature do you think WE are?

The harm that is....healthcare ZOMG!

Nope, the Affordable Care Act is about government control.

July 08, 2012 12:00 am • By Doug Ross,

The Affordable Care Act consists primarily of taking away many of our liberties by advocating health care for the less fortunate.

The government does not possess the authority to require an individual to purchase health insurance, so why try trick the uniformed into thinking the government knows what is best for them?

The Affordable Care Act is about government control over a large market and the welfare of those people. As more companies drop their health insurance plans, those individuals will be required to join a government-controlled health plan and be subservient to that ideology.

This is just what the socialistic president wants — more people dependent on government and therefore more control over those individual lives. Again, just smoke and mirrors. Watch this hand while I steal your liberties.

Less fortunate reads as those that don't know how to exercise their own liberty.

Medicaid and Emergency room treatment is FREE and so are the thousands of easily accessible FREE City and County operated clinics and Hospitals. That takes affordable and accessible off of the table.

You do have to make an appointment to a clinic, and the millions of FREE obamaphones that the poor have can be used to do that.

Most of the Doctors at these FREE clinics volunteer their services and are the same Doctors that the paying customers see. That takes quality health care off of the table

The VA and Military are run as socialized medicine, guy. And they run pretty well. If you want that system for the whole country, I'm good with that.

So an excuse to do it to the rest of the Country, as the Military are far apart from civilian structure?

YOU are pathetic.

What a blathering asswipe...

1) There are no "rights", guy.

It can't be a "right" if it can be taken away from you. Since anything CAN be taken away from you, what you really have are privilages that society thinks you should have.

So the qeustion really is, should health care be a consumer commodity that only the well-off can afford? "If you have to ask, you can't afford it!"

Or should it be a public service that all citizens should have access to like police and fire protection and clean water and clean air.

2) Pointing out that other officials should have done more doesn't take away from the fact that Bush utterly failed as a leader. Keep in mind, after 9/11, he spent BILLIONS of dollars constructing this elaborate system of disaster relief and consolidated dozens of agencies under the banner of "Homeland Security".

And on it's first big test, it failed, miserably, and hundreds of people died.

Come try and take my rights away.

Americans died because Republicans ignored them.

Americans died because they don't have health care because Republicans are blocking it.

Seems like every times large numbers of Americans die, Republicans are behind it. Look at Iraq.

I am so tired of "Poor people always could get health insurance, and health care. The problem always has been insurance has to be paid for......."

The better point is tens of millions did not get affordable and accessible quality health care.

Medicaid and Emergency room treatment is FREE and so are the thousands of easily accessible FREE City and County operated clinics and Hospitals. That takes affordable and accessible off of the table.

Emergency Room treatment is certainly not free. It costs you and me lots of money to give that "free" treatment.

The question was tens of millions did not get affordable health care. They got health care FREE at the emergency room and that sure is affordable for them. The fact that it costs me and you is irrelevant.
Can you imagine what it is going to cost me and you to buy a health insurance policy for those tens of millions? And the cost of the government bureaucracy to administer the program will rival the losses we have in the post office.

He doesn't understand separation of powers or that between civilian/military...I'll bet he doesn't understand that Congress sets the tone for military affairs...but Joey as a totalitarian?

Thinks Centralized Government is the way to go and the Founders were quacks...The Republic in his mind doesn't exist...only a formality...just like his hero Obama.

"They" are trying to compare ObamaCare to Hurricane Katrina?

Why?

Do we want to keep it a Chocolate City?

No, I just think that if you have a system where the doctors are there to heal people and the system is designed to get that done, it generally works pretty well.

Why not for the whole country.

Frankly, I never enjoyed the level of health care I got in the military before or since.

I haven't, but my nephew, who was a Marine who served in Iraq, but had back issues, found it to be a pretty good experience.

Then again, they might not. The main thing is, the insurance industry will be at the center of every .... single.... health care .... transaction, getting their cut. Thanks Obama!!!
