Come one rdean. We both know you dont have a clue what Jesus has said or hasnt said in the Bible. You'd have to read it first.
And you also know that not every word in the Bible is written by Jesus or has to be to accurately convey the word of God.
I went to Catholic School growing up. It was called St. Mary's in Sacamento, Calif.
Not a single word in the Bible was actually written by Jesus. However, he is quoted extensively. He never refereced gays a single time. But he did mention the poor and hunger and people helping people over 1500 times.
When Republicans insist they are the Party of Jesus, it's laughable. The GOP seem to hate the poor and middle class. They think people helping people is dreaded "socialism" and their true masters are multi millionaires and billionaires, people Jesus seemed to hold in great disdain. You know this is true. You may deny it, but deep down, you know it's true.
Government taking money from select people to help select people for select reasons is socialism. Give a man fish and you have a slave. Teach a man to fish and he has a trade. Oh, and Jesus taught those that wrote the New Testament while He was on earth and later sent the Holy Spirit to remind them what to write...
I thought Christians didn't pay attention to the Old Testament anymore. Must be only when they are talking about gays...
Christians read the Old Testament so they may live by example. The LAW is fulfilled for those who place their faith and trust in Christ; otherwise, (without the acceptance Christ) an individual is totally under the full weight of the LAW and must keep it perfectly or suffer the consequences. I take it that not all "gays" are born-again.

She shall continue to be his wife; he must not divorce her as long as he lives.
20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
22 If a man is found sleeping with another man’s wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.
23 If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, 24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.
25 But if out in the country a man happens to meet a young woman pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die. 26 Do nothing to the woman; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like that of someone who attacks and murders a neighbor, 27 for the man found the young woman out in the country, and though the betrothed woman screamed, there was no one to rescue her.
28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels[c] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

Teach? That's government giving something to someone after government took someone else's money. That's a Republican "no-no". The GOP calls that "socialism". It's not part of the Republican belief system. It's why they support leaders like Santorum who call those who support education "snobs".

I am curious to know as to what "Jesus" says about gays who are Christian themselves. I'm sure someone can tell me, since apparently man is allowed to speak for God now.
