But more I disagree with the OP that a nuclear war may erupt. The dingbats in N. Korea are worse the Trump at his fruit loopiness, and saner minds have prevailed. But, the pattern with Trump that emerges is a guy who does personal alingments with other leaders to further his agendas. His entreaty of the Russians is align them for his larger target ... the Chinese. It's about trade. How far is he willing to go? Let Putin turn the Baltics into vassal; states? If so, what would the effect be on Germany, Poland and Slavic states? Donald's past is all about getting a deal done and moving onto the next. That's not really a fit when international relations are built upon decades of institutional promises.

With Israel and the pales, it's a broken institution. Since Israel's war of inception, we've based policy on a hope that the pales would eventually agree to live peacefully in a separate state, and Israel would use the land seized from Jordan for that state, and pales inside Israel would continue to be citizens.
