Do you even have the brains to drive to work?Trump's paranoia is matching that of Kim in Korea. I wonder when he might start executing family members because he thinks they aren't loyal enough, like Kim did.

That is up to the independent inspectors to determine. Trump is exploiting Civil Service law and bullying workers into being afraid to report on him.
He is firing intelligence officials who do not agree with his conspiracy theories
He threatens weather service employees who rely on scientific weather predictions and contradict his personal weather predictions
He threatens scientists who report there is global warming
He fires State Department employees for following existing international laws
Retaliation at State Dept is particularly bad.
State Department watchdog details political retaliation against 'disloyal' staffers
If they just do their fucking jobs as directed by the ELECTED officeholder their job relies on there wouldn't be a problem.
I don't think you read the article. People are being targeted due to perceptions of their political affiliations rather than how they actually do their jobs.
according to the leakers/reporters.
More than likely they are half assing their jobs as part of the "resistance"
No, according to the inspector general.
From the article:
The GAO's opinion is just that, an opinion, not legally binding or conclusive in any way.
Try again.
So how is anyone in government supposed to know if they’re being asked to do something illegal?
Illegal things should be pretty obvious. Again, if they can't figure that out, they should resign.
As we can see from the GAO report, illegal things are not always obvious. Two different agencies have two different opinions about what the law requires.
Then until adjudicated it isn't illegal.
So you want people to do things they think are illegal but haven't been specifically told are illegal?
I love the conversations we find ourselves in as a result of this president. The questions we are having to ask ourselves are just astounding.

I don't trust the IG either.

Well shucks. Seems you'll just believe whatever you want to believe then.

If they think they are illegal they should quit. If they just disagree politically they should shut up and do their fucking job.
Don't blame the President, blame career civil servants who think they outright the President.

I believe that government employees should do their job. if they can't figure that out vis a vis legality, they should find other employment.
I read USMBHow do you know all that?Civil Servants pledge to follow the law. They do not have to resign if they feel they are being asked to violate the law. That is why each agency has an Inspector General.I spent 33 years as a Civil Servant. The Civil Service laws laws were made to protect you from political influence or retribution.
Policy flows from the President, but there are also laws enacted by Congress. When in conflict, you are required to follow the law.
They were implemented with the assumption that the civil servants were at a level where they do not decide on policy, only implement it. What has happened is political level jobs have been transferred over to civil service jobs, and this is clearly an abuse of the civil service system.
When in conflict, they should resign. If they can't do the job, then they should get out.
Trump is not firing people for not following his policy. He is firing them for reporting violations of public law.
They are not being asked to violate the law, they are often being asked to implement policy they don't like. Then they pretend that it is against the law to justify their refusal to do their fucking jobs.

I'm worried about those who can figure it out but are punished because they're telling Trump's political appointees the truth.

What does that mean?If the personnel in question would stop thinking they can DICTATE policy instead of just IMPLEMENTING it, there wouldn't be a problem.
The civil service is designed to implement the policies of the incumbent president, naturally verified and funded by Congress.
What we have now are civil servants who think their opinions and views outweigh those of the President, mostly because they don't like him.
Such as?
All the leaks about what the President is doing with regards to the various agencies, resisting implementing the policies of the President.
State Department bureaucrat caught plotting ‘deep state’ resistance: Project Veritas
A single bureaucrat no one ever heard of? To be honest, Trump should thank some of his underlings for not doing what he demands. It's kept him in office and out of scandal since he's been known to order them to do things that aren't particularly legal. Just think if they went through with Trump's demand to fire Mueller.

Yeah, we would have missed out on all the illegal things that Mueller found Trump had done! Oh...wait...he didn't find any of those...ah...what exactly did Mueller accomplish again? Other than waste a whole lot of tax payer money? Mueller SHOULD have been fired...his "investigation" was a farce!

He sets the policy, not unelected wonks. If they don't like it they can resign. if they can find actual unconstitutional actions they can report it.

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)
Yesterday’s Campaign Update focused on the efforts by Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Ric Grenell to identify and get rid of the bad actors remaining embeded within the Intelligence Community (IC), and the panic that is creating in the Deep State and its corrupt media hacks at the New York Times.
Today, Jonathan Swan – who is actually a pretty solid working journalist – at Axios has a report that will drive the Brennans, Comeys and Clappers of the world even crazier: It turns out that President Trump has assigned people within his body of trusted advisors to spend the last year-and-a-half compiling lists of disloyal government officials, along with names of Trump supporters who are qualified and willing to replace them.
As reported by Swan
:
The Trump White House and its allies, over the past 18 months, assembled detailed lists of disloyal government officials to oust — and trusted pro-Trump people to replace them — according to more than a dozen sources familiar with the effort who spoke to Axios.
Driving the news: By the time President Trump instructed his 29-year-old former body man and new head of presidential personnel to rid his government of anti-Trump officials, he’d gathered reams of material to support his suspicions.
- While Trump’s distrust has only intensified since his impeachment and acquittal, he has long been on the hunt for “bad people” inside the White House and U.S. government, and fresh “pro-Trump” options. Outside advisers have been happy to oblige.
Oh, man, heads must be exploding at the Times, the Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC over this one. And can you imagine the nervous breakdowns taking place all over the offices of the CIA, FBI, DOJ and State Department?
Comment:
Promises made. Promises Kept. Draining the swamp as been seen is a hard job. I agree and it's disturbing that this is overdo. It should have started on Jan 21 2017 and have to wonder why it took three years to start this clean up.
Meanwhile the "Democrat Party" is in disarray in their fight to deny Bernie and his Marxist Socialist surge.
Trump seems to be the only President who thinks the workforce must be loyal to his needs

I figured if someone saw something illegal happening, they would try to prevent it from happening because it's illegal. Seems like that's the kind of person we want in our government.
Who is supposed to tell the president that he's breaking the law?
