Time for Moderates to grow a set of balls

Then where did the net 4.4 million jobs gained under Bush come from?
Jobs created under Bush, Jr. were a fraction of those created under Clinton, who raised taxes on the wealthiest.

Taxes were raised during the bubble which soon thereafter exploded and decimated the economy.

The tech bubble bursting did not decimate the economy. It gave us a small recession that we recovered from without much fanfare. The housing bubble, on the other hand, is a completely different story.

Moderate means your not a Far right or a Far left Asshole.....

Moderate basically means uninformed - hasn't taken the time to learn the subject well enough to form an opinion.

So let me get this straight; if I think raising taxes is the only answer to solving our debt problems, then I am an informed liberal. If I think cutting spending is the only answer to solving our debt problems, then I am an informed conservative. However, if I think that we should raise taxes a bit and cut spending, then I'm an uninformed moderate.

LMFAO!!!!!

Being a "moderate" is meaningless (as opposed to TRUE independents). It just means you're somewhere in the squishy middle of two principled positions. If the two 'extreme' positions, change, you change, for no better reason than to stay in squishy middle. Moderates can offer no principles to justify their position. Leftwingers principle: "the more that government controls people and events, the better off we'll be". Conservative principle: "Society thrives in an environment of freedom". Moderate "principle": Uh gee.. I believe this way on this, and that way on that, and I can't tell ya why, just sounds like a good idea, er, well maybe......dunno.....stop asking me so many questions. Hey what's on TV tonight?" :D

I'm for some government regulation of the food supply in the nation. So we don't have poison being served in the butcher case. But I am not for the government outlawing Ribeye Steaks or moderating how much you can eat.

Moderation; try it sometime.

Consumer protection doesn't have to be done by the government, private entities analogous to Consumer's Union could do it, and in any case government does a fairly bad job at it.

Actually, when it comes to our food supply, our government does a damn good job at keeping it safe.

In this case the cliff is defaulting on the debt.

It is the Republicans yelling......Jump! Jump!

So the "moderate" does what - defaults on half the debt? :lmao:

What a moderate does is recognize that throwing tantrums and holding your breath is not the way to get things done. Reducing the debt must be done by raising revenue and reducing spending. The level of each will depend on compromise
name one instance when taking more money from people increased revenue.Hillary went to Greece [they are cutting taxes and spending to get out of the economic disaster they are facing]and gave them our blessings and said that the U.S.agrees with the actions they are taking!!!:eusa_shhh::eusa_shhh:

You haven't eaten vegetables in quite a while I see.

The term 'Informed Liberal' is an oxymoron.

Yaaaaaaa - here's an example:

Scientific Critique of FDA Whitewash of Starlink Corn AllergyScandal

A leftwinger tells a "moderate" to jump off a cliff, and a conservative tells him not to. What is the "moderate's" compromise position? :lmao:

In this case the cliff is defaulting on the debt.

Refusing to go deeper into debt doesn't constitute default, when you're taking in well in exceed of $2 trillion a year.

Time for you liberoidal creeps to get a new scaremongering yapping point.

Impossible. Moderates don't have balls and never will. They believe in nothing. Why would anyone trust someone who believes in nothing? I don't respect Moderates at all. In fact i respect hardcore Socialist/Progressive nutters more. At least they believe in something and fight for it. I can't stand them but i do have some respect for them. Moderates are weak-minded and untrustworthy. I will never trust anyone who doesn't fight for what they believe in. Period, end of story.

Wow...we'll have to find a way to manage to live through your disdain. boo hoo.

And I bet when you left the Conspiracy Section you thought you'd run into people who are less insane.....silly man.

Bill Clinton.....actually ran a surplus and the economy boomed with a 39% tax rate

Since the Bush/Obama tax cuts we have borrowed $2.5 trillion to pay for cuts that did nothing for the economy.

"Because thou art neither Hot nor Cold,I will spew you out of my mouth." "Moderates" should never be trusted. A person who doesn't stand for anything,is a person to stay away from.

Christianity is a pretty moderate religion; I'd picture you as being a member of Radical Islam...you know...they are 100% hardcore in their beliefs so you, according to YOU, admire them.

Assuming you are correct, what is the Obama and Democrat plan to reduce spending?

Actually, that's not true. Under Bush we won a war and between 1 and 4 million jobs were created. It's a lackluster performance, but it beats borrowing the same amount and losing between 2.5 and 2.8 million jobs. Your point about the Clinton years is valid. Why aren't Democrats returning to that model?

There are no win-win situations anymore. Win-win means the other side also wins so it is looked at as defeat.

It is time for moderates of both parties to take back control of their parties. Our government no longer functions and every minor decision requires a filibuster proof majority.

Come on moderates......Grow a set of balls

Sadly very few of them exist anymore. California has gotten so bad the voters our of frustration passed an initiative to take redistricting out of the politicians hands and we went to open primaries so the all candidates compete in an open primary and the top two advance. We hope the will destroy the hold of extremists on both sides.

Alot of those jobs were fuoled by the easy money of the real estate boom. International corporations have been exporting jobs since the 2000's. Obama is trying to execute the Clinton strategy but he doesn't have the same willing partners in the Republicans who are more interested in getting something done.

The Republicans would rather have the economy fail and try to blame Obama than work with Obama and have him re-elected.
