Not as much as a sales tax across the board does. Call it 10% total sales tax: 7% federal sales tax, and the states can figure out how to divvy up the remaining 3% between state, county, and local bases. Everyone pays on what they buy, period. We can exempt food, housing, and clothing.

The problem with the word invest is that Obama has made it suspect - as that is his code to steal from the productive members of society for sacrafice on his liberal ideological alter; to borrow, and spend.

We need to get the economy cranking to generate the revenue to invest. We can not expect to succeed by investing borrowed money; we do not have a surplus of our own. That will not happen with this administration, and we are going to suffer through it, and afterwards for awhile. We are in a bad way!
