Time to invest in America

The republican house needs to pass a bill that
1. Invest into Infrastructure. We shouldn't have anymore bridges falling into rivers.

Ummmm, didn't we already do that once? Wasn't that the whole "shovel ready jobs" part of the stimulus packages that we got? If it didn't work with the first trillion worth of bad checks, why would we want to do it again?

Didn't Obama finally confess there were no "shovel ready jobs"?

Hehe, yeah, looked it up he admitted he lied

We probably did spend most of the money on bail-outs, political buy outs and porky the pig. I am talking about simply routing some of the money into important places like 100 billion more per year to Infrastructure, 50 billion more for science programs(nasa, nws, universities, r@d). We'd get out of all these wars and stop pouring shit into other countries while doing such for us.

You conservatives support building up Iraq for a decade! How does it feel to be slapped in the face? You will be slapped in the face for Afghanistan. Wasn't worth one silver cent.

We as a nation need to reform our educational system if it isn't working. :eusa_whistle: Not defund it or think our children don't deserve it. Our children deserve the chance to dream as the children of the 1950s and 1960s did. I am afraid that conservative means simply that you want to go back to the 1791! I'll agree that when it comes to our bill of rights you're right. But we live within a much different world that has charged so much that not evolving to support such science, educational and moral programs would scream that you don't care about 200 years of advancement.

What we need is a constitutional convention that strengthens the bill of rights but also allows our government the ability to compete legally with the rest of the world. One that should of been done 60 years ago.

Excuse me? Where have you ever read me supporting building Iraq or afghanistan up? Try again!

Secondly, if you think I am arguing with or disagreeing with you, you would be wrong.

You need to try again, because you are accusing me of saying and believing things I don't.

For the record, I was one of the first conservatives who said it was time to get out of Iraq. When we found out there were no WMD's I said to get out and was told by lots of people including liberals that we had to stay or they would collapse. My response was more or less, "so?, are we supposed to stay 100 years and then when we do finally leave they will collapse anyway".

I wrote this for my blog at USA Carry and thought I had posted it here but can't seem to find it. But I think it's applicable to your comments in general.

The Decay of Society - Blogs - USA Carry - Concealed Carry Forum

Our society, and it’s associated culture, have made the expected choices at the polling booth. It was a paradigm shift of epic proportions. The decisions by those in the slight majority did not come to pass by accident. It was by design and the results (Obama re-election) as I said were expected by those who have designed this current strife. To get here though, it took an investment over many years to swing public opinion into thinking traditional American values, (hard work, accountability, religion, guns, etc) are not the values our country should stand for.

The Democrat machine knew the mental capacity of our youth, coupled with its watered down education system, were ripe for reprogramming. Education camps? Not such a stretch to believe the deliberate infiltration of liberal teachers, administrators, professors within our education system laid the foundation over the years that have come to fruition at the polls.

In addition, we have a POTUS who even today remains on the campaign trail like no other President in our history. He is the master of orchestrating social divide like no other. Obama convinced the majority you are either with me/us or you are with the 1%. An issue is, Obama has done an excellent job at eliminating opportunities that were available for the 99% to apply hard work, and acceptable risk, with hopes of entering the community of the 1%. Interesting enough, not much emphasis being made on increasing the band width of the middle class. Obama’s agenda does not allow for the middle class to thrive. He wants 2 classes for now. Those who still decide to remain in the 1% are going to be under assault for years to come, while the remainder of society will tread water right at or slightly above the poverty line. Eventually, like buying firearms, the government will do its best to influence you into not pursuing the investment of time, money and hard work to reach the 1% pool. Like the future demise, relative to the quality and availability of Physicians as a result of Obamacare, very few will want to take the risk to excel.

I’m not sure America can win this war. And make no mistake, that is exactly how it feels to many in this country who have not gone through the indoctrination process. Like I mentioned, the investment in our education system to reach this point, combined with the media assaults and the never ending coverage of the Obama’s and their escapades, have all come together at the right place and time.

I have to hand it to the Democrat machine. They made a plan, stuck with it over decades, and the investment has come to fruition.

For liberals it has to feel like Shangri-La

Anyone who thinks gov't should "invest" money is a moron of galactic proportions.

I know the government invested money in the 19th century...But the closes to your idea's are http://www.history.com/shows/men-who-built-america I am not saying these men didn't do great things because they certainly did. ;)

Pure capitalism isn't acceptable as the rich get richer in ways that aren't moral today. Many of the idea's that make the modern economy of modern first world nations today aren't thought up within the constitution of 1791.

The space program=good
Public education=good. Does it need reformed? YES. Hell, one thing I'd do is give the student more choices rather he wants a technical college education in his future or carpenter, plumbing, electrical education.
Nws and basic research is what makes this nation stand out.

Your idea's of endless war and having half this country poorer then dirt is a failure. Let's look south Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Germany, UK, U.A.U to understand what I am trying to say.

You are dumb. No other way to put it.
How do the rich get richer in ways that are not moral? What does that have to do with anything?
S.Korea et, al became rich because they ran societies with minimal gov't interference. Their growth slowed down as they became wealthy and fell for thesame bullshit you are pushing now.

You're a extremist that accepts failed idea's of the 19th century that most of society will never accept today.

Because people are stupid doesnt make them right. Calling someone an extremist is idiotic. Just a loaded word.
You're an extremist moron. You believe in extreme funding by the US of boondoggle projects and pork barrel spending as a way to become competitive.
Newsflash: You dont get competitive by taking money from the most productive enterprises and chenneling it to duds.

It is all about a balance game. On one side you have people like you that wants to give all the money to the rich and kill the middle class, and on the other side you have people that want to destroy ones ability to become successful at all.

What makes every nation great is the ability to become educated and do great things. Great things can be science, innovation, art, etc.

-Want to drive from the store and back?
-Want the police officer to arrest the bad guys?
-Want that fire man to put out your fire?
-Want that teacher to teach your kids??? Some of these teachers aren't really good...But we're better off having them.
-Want sewer
-Want power
Want cheap energy that doesn't allow the private corps to charge 100 dollars per kw of electricy?
-Want less molopies.

That return is HUGE for the people that aren't that billionaire.

I can't fucking believe how you people want to go completely back to the 19th century. You don't fight a socialist like Obama that wants to go to a extreme by going to another. That's idiocy.

You state 'fight a socialist like Obama' prefaced by a list of socialist ideologies. Interesting....

I call him a SOCIALIST as I believe he wants to put everyone on welfare. Everything is a balance.

So why do you believe that?

The republican house needs to pass a bill that
1. Invest into Infrastructure. We shouldn't have anymore bridges falling into rivers. ;)
2. Invest into science and tech. Want to be number one in science and R@D make those area's important!!!
3. Lower corporate taxes
4. Increase income taxes on all making more then a million a year a few percent.

What 3 and 4 does is taxes the ceo that is way over paid and leaves the business alone to hire workers.

5. Fair trade policies that promote American businesses

America deserves to lead as it did in the 1960s and 1970s once again within science!
America deserves to lead in tech as it did!
America deserves to lead period!

We do this I promise we will be the super power for a long time. What do voters need to do in 2014? Throw the extremist out in 2014!!! FUCK THE SOCIAL liberals and conservatives! They have done nothing but turn our country into a laughing stock.

LET"S NOT vote to go back to 1791
LET"S NOT vote to allow criminals to be let off because of the color of their skin
LET"S NOT vote to kill granny
LET"S NOT vote for a emotional justice system
LET"S NOT vote to give our lead in space to China and Russia!
LET"S NOT vote to give every abled bodied man and woman welfare!
LET"S NOT vote because someone wants to stick his cock in some guys ass!
LET"S NOT vote because someone wants to smoke a leaf!
LET"S NOT vote for more extremist and liars!

1) Why do we need to spend more on infrastructure when the stimulus bill was supposed to do that? Do you see many bridges falling down?

2) Where does the Constitution authorize spending money on tech? What's wrong with the private sector funding new tech? Hasnt the last 200 years shown that's a good idea? Look at all the great technology we have, it's come from the private sector, not the government.

3) How about we lower all taxes?

4) See 3.

5) Or we could encourage Americans to make more quality products cheaper.

Why do we deserve to lead? If we give up our freedom and outsource our responsibilities to the government, we don't deserve to lead. We deserve decline and slavery.

What's wrong with 1791? Let's restore the Republic.
Who the heck is letting criminals off because of the color of their skin?
Who is voting to kill Granny?
Who is voting for an emotional justice system?
What lead in space? Our space program is virtually non-existant.
Let's not have the government give anyone welfare. Let's help one another with private charity.
Who the heck is voting because some guy wants to engage in sodomy? We vote so we can promote good society.
Again who is voting because someone wants to smoke a leaf? Why do you have a problem if people are voting to legalize or criminalize it? Why should we somehow not be involve in creating laws?
Why would we vote for Democrats?

In a free market system, you can't get rich in immoral ways. You get rich by providing people with things they want and need. You get rich by serving others. When you realize that, you have alot more power.

To the brain dead, the mere act of getting rich implies something immoral. It is because they see wealth as inherently immoral. If you were really a moral person you would have given it all away.

That's foolish. It's not inherently bad to have money.

The ironic thing is that democrat activists whine about republican policies going back to the 1700's while Obama's energy policies (or lack of them) seem to be trying to bring America back to freaking caveman times while the rest of the world is getting rich on fossil fuel. It's obvious that the radical left never lets a tragedy go to waste but infrastructure repair is ongoing. Taxpayer funded projects do not grow the economy. They move confiscated taxpayer dollars from one segment of society to another segment allowing democrats get to expand their plantation. Cheap energy, tax breaks and less government interference is the only solution to growing the private sector but the dirty little secret is that the radical OWS types have no interest in growing the private sector.

You are as delusional about economics as you are about religion.

Do you believe ANYTHING that is true?
