I don't think it is possible to be Libertarian (in the sense you mean it), and anything but extremely right wing.

The idea of minimal state intervention and a free market economy is right wing by definition.

Likewise, I don't think a person an claim to be a socialist and centrist - the two position are contadictory.

A completely free market allows men (or other entities) to violate the rights of others. Here's a very simple example. It looks somewhat comical at first glance, but when you really think about it, it makes a shitload of sense (copied and pasted my own words from another thread):

A true Classical-Liberal believes that no one rights may be restricted, so long as he does NOT INFRINGE upon the rights of others.

So pollution is easy to answer. Everyone has a right to Life. The rights that come under Life are so simple and basic, that it even sounds silly to discuss them. However, one of the rights of life is the right to breathe. If someone or something is making it toxic to breathe, then they are infringing on your right to life.

As such, Congress can make laws that are necessary and proper (or General Welfare Clause) to put an end to pollution, or limit it significantly.

That being said, Democrats abuse this and take it to the extreme, and they don't actually solve the pollution problem anyway. They prefer to "tax pollution," instead of "stop pollution."

The government can play referee (a necessary evil), but it can't be the players (an intolerable evil).

Affirmative Action is a good and necessary thing, but it hardly makes a difference when many blacks drop out of high school before ever going to college. The government provides them with neither maintained nor modernized schools. They do not provide good quality teachers nor provide them with enough teachers to lower class size. They want as many blacks as possible behind bars so that they cannot vote (many felons cannot vote). The only way out of poverty for most blacks is crime, and the system is set up that way. They are FORCED to accept handouts just to survive, which means more votes for the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party has no interest in improving their condition. Sadly, Republicans have a negative interest, they want to oppress them and deny opportunities in order to kick them while they are already down. Anyway, main theme, Inferior Educational Facilities in order to decrease their opportunities.

The two parties use them as pawns. Democrats get their votes, because they have no choice but to vote Democrat, Republicans get off on coded racism to get White votes. Blacks are still slaves, that's why BOTH parties disarm them.

Also, the mess of taxes and regulations have caused massive unemployment in black areas. Leading to more poverty. Where there might be employment (private sector), blacks must often contend with racism. I find it surprising on Long Island (where I work), that my job (private sector, catering) only has three or four black employees (doing the lowest paid job) in an area that is dominated by blacks and latinos. Two of them work as hard and harder than the white waiters, and are for more efficient and intelligent at managing their responsibilities.

Libertarians must deliver this message. Freedom is a powerful message, it cannot be stopped, it cannot be silenced, it is God.

You need to address the causes of crime to fix crime. Gun violence is not a cause of crime, its an effect. Also, the majority of blacks are law abiding citizens and will comply with gun control laws, just like whites.
