And the average age minimum wage earners is 35... And 35% would gain from a rise to $10.

And you form that average just how? By using the age of kids working part-time jobs and seniors working full or part-time for extra money or to kill time?

Irrelevent to the fact that only a little over 2.5% of our workforce works for minimum wage. And for that small percentage of people, we are to turn our industries upside down and possibly have places close down? Ridiculous.
And 32% work for a little tiny bit more so you can say that LOL. And it just keeps getting worse see the tax cut the GOP hypocrites are working on, dupe.

I did see what it says. Did you?

The middle-class (for this legislation) is anywhere from just out of poverty well into six figure salaries. The upper part of this so-called middle-class will see a tax increase; about 35% of this group. The rest of us will see a tax decrease.

So if you are making 180K a year, yes, you will pay more in taxes. If you make 50K, you will get a tax break.
Only the richest get a big tax break... And there are Cuts in Aid for going to college and cuts in property tax write-offs and mortgages. It's a mess for the not rich.

Ignoring the FACT that the only people who will lose their mortgage interest deduction are those who have over a 500K mortgage in the first place?
Which isn't a lot a lot of places, and there are so many things we don't know about in this tax bill. But they all seem to be bad for regular people. GD Ohio state...

Again, the AVERAGE new home in this country costs $320K, that means the AVERAGE mortgage holder in this country is still going to be able to deduct their mortgage interest.

Pretty soon in many blues states they will get paid this, not sure why the far left is making a big deal over this.

Oh yes, if they get it done nation wide the unions get automatic raises and thus more money in the far left coffers.

Out of convenience or out of failure?

Most of the people that are hell bent wealth haters are those who have never invested a dime of their own money in their life outside of a house or perhaps an IRA. Instead of trying to become like one of them, their jealousy brings them to hatred for the people that pay most of the income taxes for the rest of us and provide us most of the jobs either directly or indirectly.

The percentage of those who became wealthy grew nearly every year since the early 80's. It's never been a better time to invest and bring in more money. With the convenience and information provided by the internet, the stock market going crazy, and an array of other investments, now is the time to think about investing especially if you are a young person.

Nobody is going to come knocking on your door with a million dollars they wish to give you, but nobody is stopping you from getting that million dollars yourself. This is the greatest country in the world.

I do not know why it is, but it is a real thing. Maybe we have just gotten lazy as a country and people do not try any more.

I do agree we are still the best country in the world, despite our flaws. I really want to keep it that way also, and I do not see anyone in power who seems to agree with keeping it that way.

You are reading or listening to too many OPINIONS by the left-wing MSM. There are parts of the bill I'm not thrilled with either. But it's not a curse on the lower or middle-class by any stretch of the imagination. More child credits, lower taxes, many will not have to hire a tax specialist to do their taxes any longer. You won't need to be a CPA to figure out what you owe in taxes.

I know that journalists tell the truth a lot more than your right wing propaganda machine. In the last 35 years the United States has become by far the most unequal modern country and just keeps getting worse. All from Reagan ISM and this will make it even worse...

How so? In this bill, they are attempting to make things more equal. Lower income people will benefit and upper income people will get the shaft.

They want us to leave the stage as the highest corporate taxed country in the world. That could mean more jobs. More jobs means a higher demand for labor. A shortage of labor means companies will need to increase offers in pay and benefits to get workers.

I'm willing to bet that maybe 1 person who posts on this board lives in a house that is worth $500K or more.

Ridiculous to claim that removing the deduction for mortgages over $500K will hurt anyone in any meaningful way.

All of the tax cut should go to the Non rich... The mega Rich are so bloated now it's ridiculous.... The more you see of this bill the worse it gets.

That would be great except most of the non-rich don't pay any income taxes. What you are suggesting is that we give tax money to those who don't pay taxes.

Wealth redistribution is not part of tax reform. Wealth redistribution is Socialism. If you believe in Socialism, then you better find another country to live in. We don't want it here.

It's not that hard... You cut payroll taxes or some other federal tax or give more to states so they can cut their taxes which have been going up for 35 years and kill the non-rich one of the most important or help with college costs or training cost- things that would help Non rich. For a God damn change. How about good infrastructure and jobs?

Even McDonald's acknowledges that their business was intended for children.
Holding businesses that are created with the employment of kids & college students responsible for the poor choices people make in life is wrong. If you're in your mid to late 20's or higher & working for minimum wage you have no one to blame but yourself. You're poor choices should not result in a 10.00 Big Mac or 4 dollar fry.

Cool message and all...but funny how they couldn't dare use a model with blonde hair and blue eyes in their ad campaign.
You wouldn't dare want to depict a true all American...NOPE, not in AMERICA.
I'd hire her'. I think her name is Liz or something like that

Kids have been shut out of these jobs by illegal aliens.
Even the illegals know that agribusiness pays more..or construction...

Construction requires skills.

McDonalds and Taco Bell are staffed by 35 year old illegals, high school kids have no jobs.

It's the world the left created.

Just because they look like foreigners. Doesn’t mean they are illegals.
I have friends that own several McDonald’s franchises and it’s not that simple to hire illegals.
High school white kids now a days are so different compared from a long time ago. Lazy bum or spoiled. There are jobs posted on windows at the mall or stores all over. People applying are the minorities.
And when they do they have tattooed, nose earnings etc etc..etc. lazy workers or bitchin of working too hard.

On a side, have you seen McDonalds prices for their shit food? Why would I buy a Big Mac meal when In & Out is cheaper and better? Why would I buy a breakfast sandwich when Jack in the Box is cheaper and better? Answer, I don't.

I like In & Out better than McDonald’s too but McDonald’s franchises are still popping up all over faster than anybody.
