So, blame the employer when their costs increase causing a rise in prices? Not very smart. And if you are a good employee, your wages will increase, but understand in certain fields you will eventually top out, because they can't sustain higher wages or prices. It is your responsibility, if you want more, you have to increase your own skill set one way or another to get intoa field that sustains higher wages. If you don't, it is not the industries fault, but your own.

Wrong. Employers hire whom they can take advantage for added profit.

I am sure that is the way you would run a business..

However companies will hire those that help the business prosper, but only someone that knows about businesses would understand that!

Holding businesses that are created with the employment of kids & college students responsible for the poor choices people make in life is wrong. If you're in your mid to late 20's or higher & working for minimum wage you have no one to blame but yourself. You're poor choices should not result in a 10.00 Big Mac or 4 dollar fry.

I ask them why they are still working, and most of them tell me because their wives are still working and they have nothing to do at home by themselves during the day.

Jobs are not assigned to people, they electively choose those jobs. If you need government to make you worth more money to an employer, chances are you're a real loser and nothing can help you.

I was born at the tail end of the baby boom, but never had anything handed to me. Out of high school I went to college and drank my way to flunking out after 3 semesters. From there I delivered produce for a wholesale produce company. Left there to be a grinder at a company making fire engines. While there I became friends with the welders whose welds I was grinder and they taught me to weld and I became the only non-school trained welder on the line. Then at the ripe old age of 24 I wanted more and joined the Marines. Spent 20 years with them and worked my way up to Gunnery Sergeant.

Got out of the Corps and used the GI bill I paid for to finish my bachelors and get a Masters and two data certifications. While at my current position I used my time and money to get my PMP certification to make myself more marketable.

While I was finishing my Masters my wife also went back to school and is now an RN on critical care floor working 13 hour shifts.

So, nope I have had nothing handed to me, I worked my ass off for everything that I have.
