It says in the Holy Scriptures that God has given them laws to follow. And one of the laws were to teach them how to show their appreciation when someone helps them. At the time the pilgrims were on their last leg.They didn't even know that they were going to make it through another season. It was because of the hostile natives didn't want strangers on their property. And so they has stayed in the fort, wondering how they are going to bring in food. But a couple of natives came, that one was an ex-slave from England that knows how to speak their language. And so the natives helped them. And told them what territories to stay away from and where they could hunt for food and what plant life that they can eat. And so the pilgrims had saw that was a blessing from the Almighty. And Lincoln had made it into a national holiday to make sure that the people will remember what God had done for them..
