Toomey: Trump's endorsement of Mastriano led to his 'epic' defeat across the board because he dragged down the rest of the ticket

Toomey? That is a laugh. Mastriano is a good man who ran a poor campaign against one the real political weasels of all time in PA. Josh Shapiro.

The National Republican Governors Committee did little to nothing to help Mastriano. Mastriano was wildly outspent; Oz was also heavily outspent.

And recall that Republican hacks were attacking Mastriano after he won the primary then act as if butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.

True on both points. We had nasty GOP primaries for both offices. The demrats pushed aside any opposition to Shapiro (a real F-ing weasel) Fetterman had some opposition from Connor Lamb but the tech money and the far left goons came thru for him.

It was ALL ABOUT MONEY. Mastriano was incessantly slandered, day after day, not only by political operatives (who never admitted their political party) but by the non-Fox Media.

It would have taken a mountain of cash to present counter-ads, but I never saw a single one (I live in PA).

Mastriano's positions were grotesquely mis-stated in the ads. He was demonized day after day, with nothing to present him in a favorable light.

The ads that he could afford to put out, just said "Vote for Mastriano." Big whoop.

He was not a bad candidate. He simply did not have the resources to fight the constant slanders.

Toomey failed to endorse Mastriano- maybe it was his endorsement of Shapiro that caused the Republican defeat?
