This is what I told somebody from Philadelphia yesterday, who got pissed off because they had to through a background check, because they're from a Blacklisted high crime, no honor city who think that their crimes should be legal to commit.

People don't pay rent to have the complex that they utilize, sabotaged and sacrificed by people who can't be trusted.

I'm not in the business of going to jail for you, or for what they might find in my apartment, in my luggage, or in my car or in my workplace because of you.

I'm not in the business of telling civil court judges that I plead guilty and agree to settle cases, because of you.

I'm not in the business of being guilty of a damn thing by association.

I'm not in the business of losing my kids, my life, or my bodily integrity and physical health, because of your stupid f*cking idea of a pet dog.

And I am going to do NONE of those things, and if you don't like it, fuck you !

That's what we do with people who come from Crimeville Philadelphia and from places like it.
We give them background checks to make sure of who they are before we rent to them.

Under our Tough on Crimepolitan policy, You are from a Blacklisted dangerous city full of dishonorable people and Substandard citizens of our nation of laws, who disrespect our law enforcement personnel until they themselves are a victim...
And Other people from fuck-a-delphia went through the background checks, and you will too.

In fact you fail the attitude test.
Goodbye get out of here.

:)

I'm from Philly. Not all of Philly is a crime haven as you portray it. And its people aren't honorless.

Might I ask where you are from? I'm sure your city or town has some unsavory individuals as well.

I'm originally from Philadelphia.
That's how I knew to come up with such a policy

We aren't even in the top 10 dangerous cities. It the 90's Philly was crime city. We used to say we live in killadelphia. But Philadelphia has changed a lot. Places like North broad st that were slums are now trendy areas. Philadelphia has been cleaned up since the 90s.

When was the last time you lived there? Philadelphia has changed a lot. Its a lot safer now than it was when I was a kid.

Tell that to my niece's friend who called CHOP home for 6 weeks because somebody got the idea that metal makes a good chest decoration.
Tell that to Louis Theroux who made a fresh crime documentary not too long ago, called Crime and Disorder in Philadelphia.
Tell that to the kids that have to teach themselves, in Strawberry Mansion high school.

Their sports fans still have a reputation for being very rude and low class at times, do they not?

I know New York and many other places have their share of jerks too, but Philly keeps making the top of lists. Yet, as it is, too many jerks in most stadiums, plus their vulgar language. It's inexcusable. It took me a long time to forgive Cubs fans for in unison chanting "ass hole" at Steve Bartman.

They have a long history of that.... longer than any of us been around.
Watch 42 Jackie Robinson.
Its no better today at all with that.
None.
Just different perhaps... but no better.

I left Philadelphia when I was 20 years old, that would have been in 2006
On that very day, I had to climb over police barricades.

C'mon now I was at that game. It wasn't everyone in Wrigley, just a sizable bunch of drunks and other jerks. Most of us were just stunned at what had happened.

As for unruly behavior at sports venues in general, I've had countless people tossed from ballparks, stadia, arenas, etc. over the years. Rule #1 is don't confront them yourself, especially if they're drinking. Just go find a security person, tell them what's been going on, and point out where they're sitting. They'll keep an eye on them to confirm what you've told them and then pay them a visit and tell them to cool it. Works about half the time, but when it doesn't they return and escort the jerks out of the place.

Well, I believe you. But then you can blame ESPN because their 30-30 show on Bartman ( a 2 hour special no less) they must have amplified the part of the crowd that was definitely chanting that profanity. It sounded like a number of thousands, but if I am wrong then the media (as usual) did all they could to sensationalize it for ratings.

Now... And still... The Chicago papers and the Chicago media had a duty to tell chicagoland that Bartman was as innocent as any other fan watching it on TV at home. Why? Because 4 out 5 fans would have reached out and done the same. And 2! The Cubs infielders blew that inning, not Bartman! Routine double play botched and some other play, too. And they can only think of Bartman? Whoever was holding a major grudge towards that poor guy for any length of time afterwards (and maybe it is a small percentage of fans) was in the wrong. The Cubs players lost that game, not Steve.

Yeah, I saw that ESPN thing. There's no doubt there was some bad fan reaction but they blew it way out of proportion IMO.

And, yes the Cubs were the authors of their own misfortune that game not Steve. Us lifelong Cubs fans just chalked it up to the curse, again. But we sure had a lot of fun kissing that off for good this year! I'm sure Ernie Banks was looking down and put in a good word for us with the Man in the 9th and 10th innings. Thank you, Ernie!
