What's funny is when you read P&G's "explanation" for an $8 billion Gillette write down and slumping sales is due to cultural changes etc. ... no mention of a devastating ad campaign. Only problem of course, is that other razor brands saw significant rise in sales in the same time period.
I think it would have been better if P&G fired their marketing VP and said "we fucked up".
