By "many", you mean a few people who are happy that they found someone to listen to their sob stories?
Only about 2% of people who transition change back, and most of them because people in their lives don't accept their new identity.
You're just flat wrong .. more like 5-10%, as outlined in the NBC article below, especially as this social contagion continues to spread.
Transgender Detransition Surgery Is On The Rise
Detransition surgery is on the rise among the transgender community, seeing a sharp increase in recent years. Previous studies using data from before 2015 found that detransition surgeries were incredibly rare at a rate of less than 1%. Recent studies have shown a dramatic increase in the detransition rate, hovering around 5-10%. This is partly due to the increase in gender dysphoria diagnoses, especially among the 6-17-year-old age range. Diagnoses in this age range grew from 15,172 in 2017 to 42,167 in 2021, nearly doubling between 2020 and 2021.
