The former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. called the reported Russia hack “an attack on our constitutional system.”

Donald Trump adviser John Bolton is demanding harsher sanctions on Russia, a position in stark contrast to many of his fellow Republicans ― including the president-elect.

Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said on “Fox & Friends” Friday morning that the sanctions President Barack Obama had imposed over alleged Russian hacking during the U.S. presidential election were “utterly useless.”

“We really need to get past the politics of this because if even a piece of what is alleged about this Russian activity is true, it is utterly unacceptable,” Bolton said. “It is an attack on our constitutional system.”

I don't know how to make this anymore clear. THE RUSSIANS DID NoT HACK OUR ELECTION. They did the job the US press should have done, which is provide as much information about the canidate as possible, so the voters can make an informed decision. The US press exposed as much as they could about The orange clown. Yep they even went back over a decade and dug up videos of him talking about grabbing women's genitalia. But since they ignored all the dirt in the Clinton closet, the Ruskies ALLEDGEDLY took up the slack.

Putin may be playing this very well. Not an admirable person, not exceptionally so given the milieu. Washington hasn't known how to deal with Russia since it's régime changed.
