That's the deal.

So 64 Billion dollars plus to purchase the tanks, and lots more money to be made selling parts and upgrades. A nice payday for the MIC, but it had to be spread around so probably not more than a few million each for the generals, senators, congressmen, and secretaries. Problem with those tanks is that they last so damn long. Especially since presidents don't think that it's "good optics" to actually use them.

Perfect solution: let the Russians blow them up, and we'll have to buy more. Supposedly, the Abrams has armor so modern that its classified. So they will likely take it off before they give them to the Ukrainians due to ongoing investigations or whatefer they keep saying. When those get blown up, yes it will be the F16's.
