I reject the premise of your post. Liberals are not "scared" of Trump's accomplishments. They aren't that many accomplishments to point to. The one and only is the appointment of a Supreme Court justice. And that lone accomplishment had to be made by trashing the rules of the Senate and going 'nuclear'.

What makes up the outrage is not fear. It's born of Trump's comportment. We want a leader who inspires, not embarrasses. A,leader we can have confidence in, not a petulant boorish egomaniac. We want a statesman, not a gameshow host.

What you Trump supporters want to believe, it seems to me, is this A,erican,political system is like sports. You want to cheer for your team and jeer at your rivals. But this isn't sports at all. There's more at stake than a trophy. This is the way our government is going to regard each of its citizens. This is how our nation is perceived overseas.

And, thus far, the antics of Donald Trump has not only eroded our international standing, but the confidence of the American people. I do not harbor any respect for Donald Trump. Respect is a reciprocal commodity. Like love, to paraphrase John Lennon, in the end, the respect you take is equal to the respect you make.

Trump is no longer steering this ship and that is evident on the new Russian sanctions--that passed in the house by 413-3 and in the Senate 97-2. They steam rolled Trump. His veto power just flew out the window, and they don't even need to put this one on his desk for a signature.
