He's not stopping. Democrats are going to have an uphill climb.

So considering the China imbalance is set to grow, this is actually a demand to cut 40-50B? I don't know exactly what the growth was projected to be.

China has been asked to develop a plan for the year of a One Billion Dollar reduction in their massive Trade Deficit with the United States. Our relationship with China has been a very good one, and we look forward to seeing what ideas they come back with. We must act soon!

Yeah he's not stopping, why that diehard son of a bitch has his family's goods produced in China and shipped here...More kewlaide for the Canuck...

Trump just congratulated that President on his lifelong dictatorship appointment
You're just jealous, like Obama, that Barry could not pull off the same thing.... :p
Pullboff what? Trump hasn’t pulled that off.

See, this is why no accountability from his base. The inbred sheep declare he’s already done it. Later, when they’re told he didn’t, they’ll say it was a smart move.

Were they laughing when Trump dropped dozens of bombs on Syria? Or an MOAB on terrorists who are backed by Iran and terrorist backing pals in the M.E?

Or maybe they are laughing at N Korean sanctions or the tariffs against their steel.

The Chinese have one twisted sense of humor.

Awesome. That comes out to like a .03% reduction LOL
:WooHooSmileyWave-vi:

No, as I stated, that is from it's current value, so if the rate was to grow by 40B, this would be a 41B reduction.

More importantly, since China doesn't want to cut exports, it probably means far more U.S exports into China to offset it.

current value of 300B?

Yes, but lets say it was going to grow to $340B at current projections, Trumps demand basically tells China, "we need to find a way to cut 41B, OR, you take $41B MORE from America to offset the growth of the U.S expected trade deficit with China".

That's great for the economy.

And the folks over in China are laughing their asses off at the orange one

Yeah but this is a “Trump demand.” It gets him him a quick boost among a base that will never hold him accountable if China changes nothing. So it’s completely meaningless.

do you think they understand how much china is laughing at Donald?

If they are at all rational, unlike you they aren't.

That means they aren't, at all.

They are taking it very seriously. Everyone with a brain has recognized the problem, at least everyone who knows even the basics of economics (not you, obviously).

This is why 18 nations of the WTO want Trump to reverse this, they NEED to continue to exploit America, just as they needed American debt to fund Paris Accord. Trump is having none of it.

China ships this steel to Canada and other nations, I am going to bet that there was enough evidence to show where steel production was coming from, so without naming nations he just put a blanket tariff across the board.

Don't trust Canada, we are sneaky in our method to exploit America, and we have many U.S politicians in our pocket. We are the launching ground for globalism due to our PR activities and proximity to America. In time, Americans will get the message about us.
