The balance reflects gerrymandering and the disproportionate representation built into the Constitution. In 2019, the Supreme Court ruled in Rucho v. Common Cause that federal courts no longer had a role to play in partisan-gerrymandering cases so the situation will only get worse. You may think the Right has issues with how the country is run but I assure you, the Left does too.

I've seen the way democrats gerrymander districts. CA is a great example--look at their maps.The fact is that Republicans are taking cues from other dictators such as Viktor Orban. In Republican held states, districts are heavily gerrymandered. Wisconsin is a swing state and yet Republicans hold a nearly 2/3 majority in the state legislature. A honest remap would give one a party a few seats majority but not 2/3rds.
