This was Trump's recent statement:
Still, Trump on Sunday attacked Obama for failing to deal with Syria during his term in office, tweeting, "if President Obama had crossed his stated Red Line In The Sand, the Syrian disaster would have ended long ago!"

So what was Trump's "other" position?
"President Obama, do not attack Syria. There is no upside and tremendous downside. Save your 'powder' for another (and more important) day!"

Trump sends mixed signals on Syria amid calls for action

See? Hilarious. You know that all you need to do it look and you can find Trump's position on anything. Unlike Magical Creation, Trump's positions are endlessly "evolving".

the comment is a bit hyperbolic------but contains a tiny crumb of truth.
Regarding the assad dogs-------the US has fallen short for a VERY LONG
time

A "tiny" crumb of truth? I was thinking more like "gobsmack".

Good lord kid, the Magic Negro got us INTO Syria.

Nothing inconsistent with Trump's statements. Obama should not have gone in, but once he did, he should have followed through with his red line threats. He didn't know wtf he was doing, he was a disaster for this country in every aspect of his presidency. Syria is just one of many examples.

While Obama didn't help matters, world policing cause the Syria mess. That's been going on for decades. Lots of blame to go around on that shit.

hyperbole------the Syria cesspit has been brewing a long time------the assads began shitting it up way back circa the mid sixties

That doesn't change what Obama did.

Maybe after seeing intel briefings for 18 months Trump knows what he didn't know before eh, moron? Barry got the same briefings, called meetings, talked about different scenarios, decided to wait and went golfing...which I don't begrudge him since he was living with a tranny who slapped him around, Mike's mother, and rented daughters.

Obama had no business backing and assisting Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey attempting to overthrow Assad. And Obama's not the only one to blame. The leaders of the western nations who helped create ISIS deserve to be brought before the Hague international court and charged with crimes against humanity.

Oh and let us not forget that Obama allowed ISIS to waltz into Iraq. You know. ISIS. Those disenfranchised Sunnis who just needed a job according to Team Obama.

Obama held the ship steady-----despite the winds----and that
is about it.

ISIS was created by the minions of the mythological muhummad more than 1000 years ago. I heard about ISIS more than 50
years ago------when I was a teen-------mostly then---about the great ISIS of the Indian subcontinent. Then the ISIS of Persia happened in 1979. My very own hubby was born in the
ISIS EMPIRE of the OTTOMANS which is undergoing a revival now by the very optimistic kanzeer----erdogan. The has not set
on the extent of the isis-pig-pens for more than 1000 years

Nonsense. Syria is modern, secular and beautiful. Women in Syria are educated (30 % secondary education) and hold important portfolios in the government for example (13%). Syria is not a shit hole.

Trump is absolutely RIGHT!

Obama started the ball rolling by issuing his pathetic 'Red Lie' BLUFF to Assad, one he never had any intention of following through on. He believed Al-Assad to be a lone leader in a small country, one he could intimidate. He completely did not see / understand that standing right behind Assad backing him up was Putin.

Assad called his bluff in front of the whole world...and in front of the whole world, to include all of our enemies, Obama BACKED DOWN! Obama's actions humiliated the US, showed the world Obama did not mean what he said and showed weakness to our enemies.

Obama pathetically then tried to blame THE WORLD for HIS Red Line...and the world took a step back from him, shook their heads 'No', and laughed at him / mocked him.

The invasion of Syria and the on-going war is a product of the Nobel PEACE Prize Winner's EGO, his attempt to save face by 'showing strength again....and his attempt to help another Terrorist group take over another country.

The war in Syria is one Obama started...UN-Constitutionally....without Congressional approval to do so. It is OBAMA'S mess that he left for President Trump.

good-----so all the Syrian expats can go scampering BACK----
Greece, certainly, does not want them

Yep, Trump is like weather in the Pacific Northwest. Don't like it right now, just wait an hour or two.

Funny - he hammered Obama for announcing when he'd be getting out of Iraq and now he's announced an exit from Syria.

Well, that was a few days ago - let's see where he's at tomorrow :)
