Trump Lies Again, Has Not Given Own Money to Charity

"In 2012, the foundation gave away around $1.7 million.

Trump spreads his money around to a number of different outfits, but grants rarely exceed $100,000.

It is possible that Trump does much of his giving outside of his formal charitable vehicle, and that more recent gifts—which we can't track—have been larger, but the money coming out of the Donald J. Trump Foundation that we can see is modest compared to Trump's $4 billion net worth.

Of late, Trump has tended to give modest sums to a number of national health organizations such as American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, Alliance for Lupus Research, Autism Speaks, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, and more.

One particular health cause does not appear to be favored over any other. It is worth noting that in 2011, Trump and his siblings gave a $1 million gift to support and name the Institute for Implant Analysis at the Hospital for Special Surgery, which treated Trump's parents.

Trump has also supported various human services outfits. Last decade, Trump gave at least $1 million to United Way.

The foundation has supported Citymeals-on-Wheels and the National Network to End Domestic Violence, among others. Trump also focuses on New York, giving grants to outfits such as New York City Police Foundation, Ronald McDonald House of New York, and New Yorkers For Parks, among others. Trump also gives sums to Florida organizations. The foundation has also given assorted sums to celebrity charities such as the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, which deals with domestic violence.

At times, Trump's philanthropy has been contradictory—he supports Gay Men's Health Crisis on the one hand, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which has decried the influence of the "gay lobby," on the other."

It really is striking when you consider how often Donald Trump lies. Not only does he lie constantly, but he lies even as the truth is sitting right in front of the face of the person he's lying to.

In this case, Trump claimed to be a philanthropist but the records he released clearly show that he's given no personal cash to anyone over the documented period. He 'donates' rounds of golf and other perks to his friends and political allies, and that's what he considers philanthropy.

The general greed and selfishness of a billionaire who hordes all of his cash is one thing, but the blatant lies, lies which can be revealed as lies based on the documentation he himself provided, are what really fascinate me.

The man is just a liar to his core. I never thought anyone could lie as much as Hillary Clinton, but then Donald Trump came along and made her look downright honest by comparison. Incredible stuff.

Those rounds of golf and other perks you mention are good for a big tax deduction, so he considers them to be philanthropy. He easily ignores the fact that they go mostly to his buddies and business partners. Just another advantage the rich have over the middle class.

His buddies and business partners would not qualify as charities.

Yeah.................he had a whole bunch of people donate 5 million to him because he claimed he was going to give it to the veterans. Has he sent the money out to the veterans yet?
