Trump on the US Constitution: ‘It’s like a foreign language”.

But I am sure though not positive, do you think the constitution written like a foreign language?
You want to embarrass yourself in public? It can't be dead dude. It never lived. It's inert. It's a piece of paper supposedly to establish rules for the representatives to follow- that they are and have been brain dead is immaterial to the endeavor- it is sworn, in the affirmative, to be protected and defended to the best of ability by 537 empty suits- well, guess what? Their ability has 0 credibility- it was written in simple English- that such a supposition is even brought up is hyperbole which has no credibility in the course of a discussion trying to establish a precedent for continuing the discussion intellectually which seems to be beyond the grasp of political message board participants- you, like most, want to come across as something you aren't and don't really want to discuss but through acting prefer to demagogue with hyperbole-

In the new book A Very Stable Genius recounts Trump’s war with reading and understanding the US Constitution. Trump was asked to be on a HBO special on the Constitution and he only had to read small passage. No one else had trouble with reading the Constitution but Trump:

.”....the president stumbled, trying to get out the words in the arcane, stilted form the founding fathers had written. Trump grew irritated. “It’s very hard to do because of the language here,” Trump told the crew. “It’s very hard to get through that whole thing without a stumble.” He added, “It’s like a different language, right?” The cameraman tried to calm Trump, telling him it was no big deal, to take a moment and start over. Trump tried again, but again remarked, “It’s like a foreign language.””

“It’s Like a Foreign Language”: Donald Trump’s Encounter With the Constitution Did Not Go Well

Can you imagine if Obama said this. But it makes sense for the semi-literate Trump. I would also guess that most Trumplicans would agree that the US Constitution is like a foreign language, since most of them haven’t a clue what it says or what it means. Trump obviously has no idea what his Constitutional role which is why he keeps running roughshod over the Constitution.

Trump has always struggled with reading. That is why he uses a simple vocabulary

I thought you lefties HATED the Constitution and wanted to "Fundamentally Transform America", and Engage in "Structural Change" and told us we needed to rip up the Constitution and start over, and that it was a dead and out dated document?

Where does the article say every person in the special witnessed Trump trying to read the passage? That would be rather unusual, wouldn't it?

The only part of the constitution that Trumpers quote is the 2nd amendment and with all due respect, like yourself, still can’t get it right.
I expect I've forgotten more about the constitution than most here will ever know- I used that simple stanza as a reminder, sir, that the body politic on neither side pays much attention to the rules written for them. In fact, dear nancy has said it's a living document- which is physically impossible as it is an inert piece of paper agreed to by those who sign it and swear an oath to protect it- please don't embarrass yourself in public.
When it comes to constitution interpretation the question is whether it is a living document or a dead document is an on-going debate. Pelosi is right it is a living document. (Unlike yourself apparently, most people do not actually think the document is alive). Scalia was wrong that the document is dead. But of course if you think it is a dead document then I suppose when we talking about 2nd amendment, if the document is dead, and it died in 1789 and we must look at the intent of the founders, the only arms permitted are muskets.

But I am sure though not positive, do you think the constitution written like a foreign language?

It all depends on Constitutional interpretation. An inane meme means nothing.
Nope its spot on. The Founding Father would have known that advances in firearms were inevitable and still they did not include any restrictions to the 2nd Amendment. If you people want restrictions call for a Constitutional Convention and do it the legal way. It would be hilarious watching it fail miserably

For some reason you are hung up on the physical properties of the Constitution itself. We are talking about its words. The spirit of its words. Are they stuck in the 1789s or are they subject to different interpretations as times change. That is the debate.

What makes you say that. I doubt the founding fathers had a clue how guns would evolve. The industrial revolution was just in its infancy.

Without reading all of your drivel, the spirit of the words from the FF's are solid....etched in stone. Sadly liberal judges/justices have
legislated from the bench new meanings for the words. But, make no mistake, our FF's words would certainly work against your
liberal agenda.

LOL, do you see what happened in Virginia? It has turned from blue to in play over their 2nd amendment attack, lol.

Now you know why these Leftists harp, whine, moan, and groan, but refuse to try and pass a law or constitutional amendment on ANYTHING they support. The blow back would knock most of them out of office except for the bluest, of blue states.

This is why they actually are, DO NOTHING DEMOCRATS! They know what most Americans think of their policies, so they sit here and argue a philosophy of governance, instead of actually DEMANDING their representatives put forth legislation to try and change things.

Would you LEFTISTS like us to get a shadow law writer to compose the bill for you so that you can DEMAND that all your heroes support it publicly in their states?

You bunch of phony-e-baloneys, lol!

I notice the OP ignored a pertinent question: the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed means what to whom?

I'll add another for the OP scholar: Where in the constitution is the authority granted to interpret the words as one sees fit?
That being said, I'll suppose they can interpret laws they pass however they want to but that doesn't answer the question asked.
