Usually. Some didn't. The fact is the states who didn't lock down, did not have significantly higher rates of covid problems. That's just a fact. Your own post showed that.

Some red states had lock downs. Some didn't. Red and blue isn't relevant. What is relevant is which states had tough lock downs, and which states had no lock downs, and comparing the covid rates. Your own post shows there was no correlational between those that did, and those that didn't.

Similarly, we don't see any evidence that nations like Japan and Sweden that had no lock down, were worse off than nations like Italy that had massive lock downs.
