I think if the US survives as it that the major political parties could fragment and there could wind up being 5 major political parties in Congress

Trumpist-Nationalist Party(Supporters of President Trump and assorted Nationalists who are tired of dealing with Neocon RINOs and Squishy Moderates)

Moderate-Liberal Republican Party(The Neocon RINOs and Squishy Moderates who will be left in the Republican Party)

Moderate Democratic Party(What's left after the Socialists,Communists and Environmentalists leave)

Green Party(Separated from Democratic Party because they're not environmentally minded enough)

Socialist-Communist Party(Made up of the Communist-Socialist wing of the Democratic Party who have given up on the Establishment Democratic Party along with other Communists and Socialists)

I think the 5 parties you mention are more representative of today's politics than the current 2 party system. I like your post.

As much as I would love to see a viable third party, I just can't imagine it happening.

It might (emphasize "might") be easier for some left-leaning/right-leaning coalition to form and vote as its own bloc.

The problem, obviously, is that they'd almost certainly be "primaried" by nutters in their party.
