Trump the deal maker has been retreating on the budget like a scared kitten. He said no budget without money to build the wall. Without money to build the wall, no money to keep Obamacare going.

He has retreated off both stances. I think politicians from both parties as looking at Trump as an easy mark. The conservative republicans stared him down on repealing and replacing Obamacare with an unacceptable replacement.
The democrats and some republicans stared him down on closing down the government without a budget.
