Trump Will Be In East Palestine OH Today....And Biden Hasn't Bothered To Help Them One Bit

At least he went to East Palestine Oh.
Where's Biden?

Who was it that said 70% of problems can be better addressed when you show up.

You think a president should go into a toxic area where the residents were warned to evacuate as animals were dropping dead all around?

:cuckoo:

The EPA is cleaning it up. They showed up and are doing something helpful. Handing out water branded with your name isnt helping.

what certainly not helping is the lack of emergency declaration by the state of ohio.

He earned it. In this current administration their job is to blame things on racism, blame stuff on republicans, look the other way, ignore stuff, blame climate change and so on. So by the current administrations standards he has been working very hard and deserves a vacation.

Pete Bootyplug like all of the others in this administration don't actually care about anything and don't actually do anything, it's all talk.

The EPA is going thru the motions.
They can't clean this up by any stretch.
I was trained on chemical decontamination....and they would have to dig up the soil several inches deep to remove all of the toxins in it. Hundreds of thousands of acres of Ohio farmland is polluted with toxins. It will take several years for that to become non-toxic. The rivers are pretty much toast and fishing will be history for the near future. The EPA can't do anything about any of this with a few guys carrying nets and plastic baggies.

Remember Love Canal.
Or Valley of the drums.
most of what the EPA does is oil spill cleanup, but there is plenty history of toxic chemical emergencies.
Much more useful than a presidential photo-op.

It doesn't have to be a war on Fossil Fuels all of the time.
And this isn't something that happens every day.
However, Mayor Pete wants us to think it happens all of the time, so don't worry.

When you go there and drink the water out of the tap, then tell us bottled water isn't helping. You're just like our Governor DeRino. All talk and no action. If he thinks the water is safe, let's see him drink some out of the tap from one of those homes.

the obama regulation on train brakes didnt apply to the cargo type of this accident. The better brakes wouldnt have the prevented accident, but it would be less severe due to less stopping distance.
Trump left the automatic braking system for toxic cargo. It worked, according to the NTSB.

The White House on Thursday said there are no plans at this time for President Biden to travel to the site of a trail derailment disaster in Ohio while defending the administration’s response amid Republican criticism.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked multiple times by reporters if Biden had any plans to visit East Palestine, whether such a plan is even under discussion and if the potential environmental disaster site rose to the level of a presidential visit.

“I don’t have anything to share on a presidential visit, not at this time, or anything to announce. But it does matter that the president put forth a multi-agency kind of reaction to this, taking it seriously,” Jean-Pierre said.
