The gods convened to draw out the spirit of deceased American political cartoonist Thomas Nast to talk with iconic modern-day American social critic and media-TV personality (and comedian) Dennis Miller.
Nast was considered to be a federalism advocate of sorts, while Miller is considered to be a federalism critic of sorts, so the gods encouraged them to talk about the election of finance-minded Donald Trump as U.S. president as it relates to the new world geo-political 'environment.'
====
MILLER: Let's imagine there are two American Airlines pilots --- one good, the other evil.
NAST: What are their names?
MILLER: Robert Sherman (the good pilot) is a 'pseudo-vigilante'; Eric Dees (the evil pilot) is a drug-dealer.
NAST: Robert is a vigilante, while Eric is a criminal.
MILLER: Yes, and both are profiteering from this new age of networking-savvy related commerce/traffic.
NAST: Well, it's easy to transport drugs if you're a pilot, but how is Robert a 'pseudo-vigilante'?
MILLER: Donald Trump would care about the answer to that question! Robert speaks 'mini-sermons.'
NAST: Over the pilot's PA system to the passengers on his airplane?
MILLER: Yes. They're not overtly spiritual, but he says things like, "It's a blessed day to be American!"
NAST: Oh, I see. Meanwhile, Eric is transporting drugs across continents and benefiting.
MILLER: That's right. Robert uses his traffic-watchman position to offer optimism about travel.
NAST: Travel is an important part of the new world economy.
MILLER: Yes it is. Video-conferencing may not reduce the demand for person-to-person meetings!
NAST: Maybe Donald Trump will personally endorse American Airlines.
MILLER: What would Trump say about Robert Sherman and Eric Dees?
NAST: I wager he would say, "Robert is democratic, while Eric is commercial!"
MILLER: Will the American people afford President Trump such 'traffic-critique' sageness?
NAST: They will if Trump offers 'tax-breaks' to the urban middle class.
