In a Republic, actually
‘Trump is accusing former President Obama of wiretapping phones in Trump Tower in New York City during the presidential campaign.
[…]
He also suggests the possibility of a legal case over the alleged wiretapping.

Later in the morning, Obama's former deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes, used Twitter to challenge Trump's claims.

"No president can order a wiretap," Rhodes, who continues to serve as a foreign-policy adviser to Obama post-presidency, said in one tweet. "Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you."

In response to Trump's suggestion that a good lawyer could make the case that Obama tapped his phones, Rhodes tweeted, "No. They couldn't. Only a liar could do that."’

Maybe the pressure is getting to him? For him to suddenly turn against Obama like this? Trump is the President and he could ask the right questions before going off on a loopy tangent due to a Breitbart piece. Until a day ago, Trump was careful not to criticize Obama. Even when he accused Obama of possibly being behind all the leaks undermining his administration, Trump repeatedly said "I understand it's politics."
Now he's ready to take Obama to court?
Holy Jesus. I'm afraid this IS irrational behavior. Waiting for what comes next.

Obama could, and probably did suggest that it would be nice if someone would tap Trump's phone, and one of his lackeys saw to it that it happened.

Ben Rhodes was one of Obama's Liars-In-Charge and is talking Turnspeak. Besides, Trump has a herd of lawyers and they probably looked at the evidence and gave him the OK. He's not going off half cocked.

utter bull crap Too Tall! another Trump tells you to jump, and you ask, How high?

If it is false ( which I think it is ) could Obama sue Trump for going off like this?
I've been wondering the same thing. He is a private citizen now. That would be real irony, and maybe karma?

It happens all the time with every President. How naive are you? They call it plausible deniability.

He's NOT like Trump, Obama will not sue....but he will sit back and let the revelation of truth do it for him....

suing Trump as President, would only put it on the tax payers bill more than likely....if he ever did do it, it would be after Trump was out of office, or impeached....

(And God's instructions are not to ever sue, settle your differences with one another, before it lands up in court) ;)

It's been explained to these goombahs before that this sort of stuff happens in the military since Hector was a pup. When the Colonel says "I would like to see....... or I wish".... THAT is an order!

So the first time they were turned down
The second time they were granted.
They found no evidence but kept the wiretapping going.
And of course I'm lying, correct.

Sean Spicer needs to put on his own suit coat and hold a press conference today, explaining where the information for these accusations came from. If Trump says he "just found out," we need to know from where. That would be a start.
