His lawyers are correct. In fact the threshold for a Special Council has not been met. I think the statement by the lawyers is much more powerful than it seems at first glance.

"Trump's attorneys would like Mueller’s prosecutors to show that only the President can give them the information they require."

I believe this is a direct reference to illicit FISA surveillance against members of the Trump campaign. Trump's lawyers are giving a big hint here that they know exactly what Mueller got from that FISA surveillance.

They're effectively boxing Mueller in here.

Mueller would find some small detail that Trump said wrong and go after him. It is smart not to talk to Mueller.

Mueller is dirty. Trump should dig up dirt and "leak it". Then hire a special investigator to investigate Mueller and go after his friends and family (including children).

Because you and Trump are MISINFORMED?

She testified before the FBI, without going under oath because she testified before the FBI, and it is ILLEGAL to lie to the FBI, all on its own and an oath is NOT needed.

The same would be for President Trump, the FBI would not put him under oath either....no need to, it already is against the law, to lie to the FBI investigating a crime or counter intelligence....

Trump is telling you a lie, the FBI did not put her/Hillary, OR ANYONE under oath, because it is a crime already to lie to them....there is no need to put them under oath....a separate law covers it.

No one on the Republican side has handled this in a manner that could get anyone thrusted in jail....they went completely outside of the Investigative committee's protcol of being the watchdog of the PRESIDENT, to working with him to OBSTRUCT justice by interfering with an official investigation and doing so in a purely partisan manner, without going through the full committee, democrats and repubs, and following the steps to gather ALL EVIDENCE that could show illegal doings, that could be used for prosecution.

This dog and pony show is simply for partisan posturing and truly NOT to see any kind of justice done.

Surely it is not. Mueller conspired with Lynch and Comey to try to elect Hillary, he should be executed for his attempted coup but that would be impolitic.
