America wants to know...

Top Google search: 'Will Hillary Clinton get prosecuted?'

Throughout the event, as Sanders rolled out a health-care plan, searches for the Vermont senator dominated over Clinton and O'Malley, peaking in the 30 minutes before the debate began.
i searched bernie as well, before the debate because i heard that he released his health care plan and how he was going to PAY for it.

the timing of his health care plan funding release, skewed those google searches imo.... great move on his part... if google searches really matter?

Before she was entrusted with any state secrets — indeed, on her first full day as secretary of state — Mrs. Clinton received instruction from FBI agents on how to safeguard them; and she signed an oath swearing to comply with the laws commanding the safekeeping of these secrets. She was warned that the failure to safeguard secrets — known as espionage — would most likely result in aggressive prosecution.

In the cases of others, those threats have been carried out.

The Obama Department of Justice prosecuted a young sailor for espionage for sending a selfie to his girlfriend, because in the background of the photo was a view of a sonar screen on a submarine. It prosecuted a heroic Marine for espionage for warning his superiors of the presence of an al Qaeda operative in police garb inside an American encampment in Afghanistan, because he used a Gmail account to send the warning.

It also prosecuted Gen. David Petraeus for espionage for keeping secret and top-secret documents in an unlocked drawer in his desk inside his guarded home. It alleged that he shared those secrets with a friend who also had a security clearance, but it dropped those charges.

The obligation of those to whom state secrets have been entrusted to safeguard them is a rare area in which federal criminal prosecutions can be based on the defendant’s negligence. Stated differently, to prosecute Mrs. Clinton for espionage, the government need not prove that she intended to expose the secrets.

The evidence of Mrs. Clinton’s negligence is overwhelming.

That's why I'm curious why so many get the same "will Hilla" result.

More than likely it is because they do not search the term hilla or hillary that often. I t would not surprise me that the most common search term with her would be sill she get prosecuted - it has been a political talking point for awhile now.

Google, and any other search engine tailors their choices to each individual computer's previous searches. If you mostly look for cat videos, most of their options will be about cat videos. If you mostly search for porn, most options will be for porn sites. If you are a right winger who mostly wants conspiracy theories about Hillary, that's what you will get. It's not an indication of what everybody is searching for.

Two of the top searched questions on Google for Hillary Clinton are likely not about the themes her campaign hopes to highlight.

"Will Hillary Clinton get prosecuted?" is most searched question on Google ahead of the Democratic debate on Sunday night. "Will Hillary Clinton win the nomination?" is second and "What did Hillary Clinton do that is illegal?" is the third.

No, Not wrong. The options they give you after you type part of your search are based on your previous search record. The top search questions are available, but screen grab in the OP is not where they are available.
Google Trends
Either way, those terms only indicate what people want information about. It doesn't indicate whether they are for or against the terms they are searching for..

When you do not search those terms, yes it is. That is the default auto fill - the most common searches. Then, as the computer learns more about what you want, it tailors those results to you specifically. Ergo, why I said that they likely had not searched much with Hillary.
