He wants to rule it, and the people who are pulling his strings (Miller, Bannon, etc.) are doing everything they can to make that happen. The execution of the 2025 Project has already begun. Think Orban, or even Pinochet. Trump's motivations are different, though. This is about self-validation and adoration. It's the Miller/Bannon types who are in this for the authoritarianism.

The thing is, evidently much of America wants to be ruled by Trump. It turns out, that's what much of this country is. Who knew. But it's time to come to terms with that, because this isn't going away.
