U.S. Jobless Claims Drop to Lowest Level Since 2006

His problem is that he thinks a Walmart Fork Lift Operator is "skilled labor".

TOYOTA%20IN%20RACK%20AGAIN.jpg

Funny thing, my first MOS was forklift driver.

But since I haven't commented on quality of jobs, just pointing out that having a job is never the same as being unemployed, your comment makes no sense

Course it makes sense. It's always better having a job than not having a job. But in many instances, the hard work happens before you get the job. You can learn to be a fork lift operator in one afternoon. But to be a machinist running a CNC machine, that takes weeks or even months. And you have to have education foundation even for that. There is a forklift operator where I work and he barely speaks a little English. You can't call that "skilled work". And the more skills the job requires, the fewer people available to do that job.

It makes you wonder, what kinds of jobs do USMB Republicans have when they don't even know the meaning of the word "skill".

To be competent on a CNC will take you a good five years. And some never get it.
Big difference between a button pusher and a machinist.

1st, yes they are an important number to track, but to call them Unemployed and to pretend there's no difference than if they had no job at all is ludicrous.

dear, it does not matter what you call them. It matters that there are 50% more unemployed underemployed and discouraged workers now that Barry is in charge. If Obama cuts everyone back to 30 hours a week U3 might be 0% but u6 would tell the story!

I already proved that's not the case. And total marginally attached and discouraged are lower than when Obama took office. Oh, and part time for economic reasons is lower, too.

Do you need me to hold your hand and show you where to find the data?

U6 is now 12% it was 8% before recession. Thats a very very bad trend! Thats why they say this is worst recovery since Great Depression!!

You keep moving the goal posts...you switch back and forth between "before the recession"and "when Obama took office." There was one month in 2007 when the U6 was at 8%...the average was 8.3. When Obama took office it was 14.2

Listen sweetie, U-6 was 17.2% at the peak of the Bush Depression, it is 12.1% now. I know you hate the fact that UE is going DOWN, but learn to live with it, at least until another Republican is elected when it will skyrocket again.

why learn to live with 12 % unemployment when it was 8% all the way back to 1995 regardless of who was president or who controlled Congress. Obama is most liberal so has the worst record since FDR's Great and very very long liberal Depression.

It was 11.8% in Jan 1994 when they first started keeping a U-6 rate, over 10% for 1995, 10.4% in 2003 and 17.2% at the height of the Bush Depression. 12.1% and heading DOWN looks good to everyone who doesn't hate America, but of course not to the Right!

I just showed you. And all 6 measures of underutilization tend to move together, so emphasizing the U6 doesn't make much sense. Wait, surely you don't think it shows things are worse just because it's bigger?

Hah hah Special Ed busted in yet another lie, as seen below:

Of course the only escape is to keep repeating "I say 12 and 8" and hope those pesky things like facts stop popping up and move on to the next lie.

if 12 and 8 are not right numbers what are right numbers?

Yup just keep repeating that Special Ed, anything to distract from your blatant lie about it being 8% back to 1995. (see chart)

What are the right numbers??? 12 is your IQ. 8 is your common sense quotient.
So, ed, you have proven again that you are a congenital idiot, not being able to read the chart provided you. But then, we would not expect a congenital idiot to be able to understand. Just remember, ed. It is a congenital problem. Not your fault. Just plain bad luck.

Oddly ed never tries to deny that he is a paid tool. Cause, of course, it is simply too obvious.

Which still doesn't make your stupid lie about 8% back to 1995 true, disability = yet another smoke grenade by the liar.

It sure doesn't give a good impression of the strength of your argument Special Ed, when you are forced to make up shit and hope nobody calls you on it.

whats obvious that U6 is understated at 12% and is far higher than before the recession thanks to Obama's liberalism. But liberals love FDR for the good job he did prolonging the Depression for 10 years so not surprising they love Barry for prolonging this recession!
If Barry can prolong this another 5 years he can be in league with FDR!
