UK halts all flights at largest Royal Air Force base because "the runway has melted."

Which places have never experienced extreme heat?
The UK......which is why 100 degree weather for them is considered record breaking -- where for us, not so much....

and when you factor into that most homes in the UK have no A/C because of how old most of them are and because there wasn't much of a real need for them.....I know damn well if they had the type of heat we have in the US -- that will change

Da fuq do they make their runways out of in the UK? Cadbury chocolate?
You make your roads out of a material which does not melt because you get temperatures which would make roads/runways melt. This is the first time we have had such hot weather.

Yes it is not how old they are. Homes get complete renovations. It is just not needing A/C people have not felt like buying it. That may change now. The BBC were giving people advice on how to keep cool enough inside.

Over what time frame?
Ever....or at least, recorded history..

I assume that is why 100 temps in the UK are considered record breaking while 100 degree temps in Texas is not considered record breaking...

Not saying extreme heat can't cause issues for flights here in the states.....like how a few years ago, it was too hot for planes to fly in Arizona....

Ever....or at least, recorded history..

Ever is billions of years. Recorded history is considerably less.

Recorded English history is considerably more than US history...

What is the deflection for?

Fossil fuel companies aren't going to have sex with you bro...no need to be obtuse about what record breaking temps mean...

When did "recorded English history" start taking temperature measurements?

1659..since before the US existed....

Again, why are you being obtuse about this??

If a tornado wipes out a rural town in Oklahoma....and they say it is the most powerful tornado in history....does your bitch ass come in yelling "but but but what about milllions of years ago?" -- shut yo bitch ass up..

The hottest temperatures in over 360 years? Sounds terrible!

How many trillions should they spend on windmills to cool the planet back to a livable temperature?
