We're already pretty much to that point already. You can thank the super-rich for all of this. Poor people didn't write the laws or the tax codes, nor are poor people the ones taking the most advantage of all of the loopholes and hidden tricks that teams of corporate lawyers are paid to manipulate.

Progressives want the media monopolies disintegrated so that there is more diversity in news and opinions so that all Americans, left, right and center, have an outlet and a voice in national politics. The majority of American news outlets are controlled by 5 dominant corporations- Time-Warner, Comcast, Viacom, Disney, and News Corporation. This is the "cabal" of overseers who determine what stories to air, what narrative to discuss, and most importantly, what news does NOT get played. All of this is designed to give American audiences the illusion of information. It doesn't matter what the real facts are because the majority of corporate news is nothing but pundits' opinions on trivial issues like gay marriage and illegal immigration. None of them actually offer any real ideas on how to make the world better. It's just corporate time-filler in between commercials for anti-depressants and boner pills.

So the UN is breaking it's own rules.
