While the 1st Amendment covers several items - for the purposes of this thread, I am going to focus on free speech. A "right" abused by liberals for over 100 years now.

The 1st Amendment was never intended as a tool to destroy the U.S. Constitution and/or the United States. It was never intended to be a "right" that would allow one to express replacing democracy with marxism, capitalism with socialism, or freedom with communism. In fact, every time a liberal stands up and states their liberals views, they are literally breaking the law. Don't believe me? Take a look at the history here of the 1st Amendment:

The Espionage Act of 1917 imposed a maximum sentence of twenty years for anyone who caused or attempted to cause "insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty in the military or naval forces of the United States." Over two thousand were convicted under the Act. One filmmaker was sentenced to ten years imprisonment because his portrayal of British soldiers in a movie about the American Revolution impugned the good faith of an American ally, the United Kingdom.[22] The Sedition Act of 1918 went even further, criminalizing "disloyal," "scurrilous" or "abusive" language against the government.

In the midst of World War I, Charles Schenck, then the general secretary of the Socialist party, was found guilty of violating the Espionage Act after a search of the Socialist headquarters revealed a book of Executive Committee minutes. According to Schenck, the Espionage Act violated the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment. The Supreme Court unanimously rejected Schenck's appeal and affirmed his conviction.

There is a very clear precedence set that language designed to interfere with the Constitution, democracy, or capitalism is in fact a crime. And now, more than ever, conservatives need to ban together and enforce the 1st Amendment. We need to silence the lefts efforts to destroy the Constitution and this country - and we need to imprison those who do not comply. And there is no better place to start than in Congress. Lets get Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Diane Feinstein, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz out of office and behind bars where they belong.

I implore all conservatives who read this to share this information with everyone you know and get as many as you can to contact your representatives for action on this. We are at a crossroads roads in this country - with the left pushing hard to take us down the path on the left which leads to communism. Every single day our rights and freedoms are eroding under their oppressive ideology. What I'm proposing here is 100% constitutional, proper, and legal. And it is our duty to defend this nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

So it's treason to use the 1st amendment against the government, but patriotic to use the 2nd?

Now don't go and confuse the poor child and wreck his totalitarian rant like that! He obviously stopped reading the wiki entry before he encountered all the stuff which contradicts him. If he thinks those who use "abusive" language against the government should be locked up, then perhaps we should start with all the Fox News, Breitbart, WND, and Daily Caller commentators and journalists.

I think if Rotty stumbled across Dred Scott v. Sandford, he would be ranting that, "There is a very clear precedence set that slavery is Constitutional."

Or if he stumbled across Plessy v. Ferguson, "There is a very clear precedence set that segregation is Constitutional."

Christ, what special kind of modern day doofus cites the sedition and espionage acts as evidence that locking up someone for speaking out against the government is Constitutional?

Seriously. Just how fucking retarded do you have to be?

You are getting dumber by the minute, Rotty.

The ignorance of both our history and our Constitution is positively mind-boggling on the part of some of these people who have infected this forum and the conservative movement.

While some argue that Mercantilism is an early or primitive form of Captilasim, modern Capitalism, as we understand it today, didn't come about until the mid 1800s.

And while there were some groups/situations which we would now refer to as forms of Communism, it also was not a formal concept until the mid 19th century.

So the claim is that the 1st ammendment was specifically designed to protect a concept that didn't really exist from other concepts that also didn't exist. Interesting.

I did not know Woodrow Wilson's policies were so highly regarded on the right.

Troll.

What absurdity! It would be laughable if it weren't so lamentable.

So it's treason to use the 1st amendment against the government, but patriotic to use the 2nd?

Well, the 2nd Amendment was designed to protect against an unconstitutional government gone awry. What I'm referring to in this thread is liberals causing that (ie using the 1st Amendment as a weapon to cause our previously constitutional government to go awry).

Obviously you will never understand this because you are a mental-midget, but for everyone else reading this: there is a monumental difference between criticizing your government - especially for abandoning the Constitution which restricts them (completely legal - as done by Brietbart, etc.) and using the 1st to destroy your government (such as the case with treason, liberals, etc.)

It's pretty cut and dry for anyone with an IQ above that of an orangutan...

You haven't proven that includes you.

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.~ not sure who said it but I live by those words.

This is like watching a preschooler trying to recite the alphabet backwards.

Says the troll who adds only irrational opinion, is never able to back up those opinions, and as such has become my prison bitch on this site :lmao:

Whoa, that’s some big-time, Grade A, rightwing ignorance, stupidity, and totalitarianism.
