Every single "player" in WW2 was aggressive and determined to either not lose controlled territory - or to gain territory. And that hasn't changed until today on behalf of the Western Powers.Once again, you are only making the case for the Soviets being aggressive expansionists and taking other neighboring nations because they could.
Putin had not made war onto anyone till 2014 - that means the Russian federation was NOT aggressive towards any neighbor from 1990 till 2014.
It was the Chechnya Mafia that used terrorist means towards Russia, it was Georgia that had attacked Russian backed separatists.
NATO had continuously waged war and crippling other nations via sanctions since 1990. Upon NATO trying to take control of Ukraine - Putin intervened - militarily.
China has not made war onto anyone since 1980 till today, nor imposed any sanctions to cripple other countries.
Upon China claiming it's territorial rights - especially in regards to the South-China-Sea - (a claim officially existent since 1928 by the KMT) the USA went in to protect is own imperialist interests in Asia. Not a single SCS nation officially asked for the USA to intervene or to send in USN assets. The USA is not even an UNCLOS signatory.
When China and the Philippines were about to reach a consent benefiting both sides, the USA instigated the Philippines to file an international court case - to which China is not a signatory.
Constant involvement of the US government into China's internal policy, constantly propagating and fabrication false accusations - instigating the Taiwan administration to go for independence, whilst assuring them officially a US military intervention, if China should oppose their independence via military means. Desperately trying to get Japan into NATO whilst not opposing the breach of international law in regards to Japan, integrating the formerly private (no national status) owned Senkaku islands. Trying to starve and economically suppress N-Korea since 1953 - nonstop till today.
Since 1945 the USA was and is constantly involved in instigating political unrest throughout South-East-Asia, toppling non favorable governments and aiding totally corrupt and suppressive leaders and governments. South-East-Asia is none of the USA's or NATO's business - neither is Asia, nor Africa, nor the Middle-East, nor Central and South-America.
Due to the demise of the USSR - NATO is determined that now (since 1990) is the prefect time to impose their rule and control onto the globe. And powers such as China, India, Brazil and Russia obviously oppose NATO's ambitions. That's all there is to it - mate.
