Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but why was a photograph of him even there in the first place?I have been to plenty of hospitals unfortunately and I don't remember ever seeing pictures of any president on the walls.

All Federal buildings have a portrait of the President and the head of the Department. In this case it's the VA Secretary. In the Pentagon, for instance, it would be the Sec'y of Defense.

Every Veteran deserves better treatment than they receive from that bureaucratic fucked up organization. I've got my own personal horror stories while dealing with the VA so fuck you very much.
