Remember, this was the Republican Party that said they will do everything they could to ruin Obama from before day one of his first term.

They blocked Obama's Supreme Court Judge pick for the last quarter of Obama's second term.

Republicans passed their Tax Cuts for the rich through reconciliation to avoid any input from Democrats.

So what is this sudden talk about "bi partisanship"?

Anyone?

So we can blame you more when you don't get with the program.

As in all of you not voting for tax cuts. You'll never ever live that one down.

Well, my friend........The Pew research Center, after an extensive polling drive, found that 32% of registered voters mostly vote Dem, 23% vote Rep. while almost 40% state that they are Independents.

Give the sheer percentile of Is and Ds overpowering the republicans....and a mid term campaign to soon start in a month or so, corrupt dimwits like McConnell want to create the impression that his party wants to expand its dwindling base.

Remember that McConnell is entrusted to pass an infrastructure bill.....with NOT ONLY money that does not exist, but with a huge loan these morons had to negotiate to pass a tax scam for their donors.......To even remotely achieve passage of an infrastructure bill,McConnell needs the helps of blue dog democrats.

Well, we lived down the Bush Tax Cuts for the rich.

In fact, Republicans had to blackmail Obama because Obama knew Republicans would fuk over the American people and Republicans knew Obama couldn't let that happen.

Unemployment benefits: not until Bush tax cuts pass, Senate GOP says

The Republicans are anti American, pro Russian monsters.

Bottom line is this:

Right wing republicans like to flaunt that they won EVERYTHING and that they are in CHARGE......

With that status comes the ensuing responsibility of the fuck ups......

Let these right wingers get the FULL IMPACT of their corruption and I hope that democrats stay out of the way instead of shouldering the blame along with these scum buckets.

What about the Bush tax cuts for the non-rich?

This should be the Democrat's only response...

Republicans know they only have 11 months until they lose control of one or both houses of Congress so it's going to be interesting to see them try to gut Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare in that time. How they must be beside themselves, they are at the moment where they can nearly destroy all these programs they hate because they help the poor and middle class, but they are also at a moment when demographics are about to render their chances of winning national elections nearly impossible in the near future.

They've already been grinning ear to ear on forcing 13 million to lose their healthcare and it's been shown recently that 62% of people on Obamacare live in states that voted for Lying Donald.. They know well what the reaction will be if they touch Social Security and Medicare which seniors absolutely rely on.

So we'll see them either lose their ass in November 2018 or we'll see the Republican party attempt to install Lying Trump as a permanent Putin like figure that can't be removed from office. The latter is remote but they understand the future renders them permanent minority status in Congress and the White House. If they don't sieze this moment there may not be another.

That was awesome!!

Don't forget drilling in ANWR!!!

November 2018
Correct. But the strategy is to share the blame, not work together with Democrats to actually do anything that Democrats would ever want to do.

I don't think Trump will be able to pull off pretending to be bipartisan and that's going to stretch the Republicans in Congress. Appease their base yet attract enough independents to ride out a Democratic wave. I'm not convinced the Senate is going to flip but the House is going to swing. That'l put Pelosi third in line and will make 2019 a fascinating year to watch.

What about the Bush tax cuts for the non-rich?

PEANUTS........(and ALL this while engaging our country in TWO costly and unpaid for wars)

The tax cuts first enacted under President Bush in 2001 and 2003 have made the tax code less progressive and delivered a large windfall to the highest-income taxpayers. Under GWB,
  • The average tax cut that people making over $1 million received exceeded $110,000 in each of the last nine years — for a total of more than $1 million over this period.
Bush Tax Cuts Have Provided Extremely Large Benefits to Wealthiest Americans Over Last Nine Years

When the proverbial "chickens are coming home to roost," bastards like McConnell like for democrats to join in the inevitable blame.........

They think playing nice now will save them in the 2018 election. Hopefully the Democrats won't fall for it.

How much did a person who made exactly $1 million save?

Dems should definitely run on a tax hiking platform.

Actually, the message should be plain and simple (so that even FOX watchers would understand)

"Democrats know full well that the Trump/McConnell/Ryan tax scam has donated 87% of the borrowed money to the wealthiest 2 percent of our citizenry.....

We plan to completely reverse that trend....where 80% of the tax cuts will go to those families who are making LESS than $200 K per year......after all, we ALL know that you are the consumers and will spend that extra money to boost demand for goods and services.........since corporations could NEVER expand unless the demand from middle class people is there.....

You've been had by a republican scam giving you crumbs while they gave their donors the lion share of the cuts.....Smarten up and do what is right for YOU".

We don't call those "tax cuts".

We call them "Teaser tax cuts". Because they are so small.

  • If one adds up the average tax cuts that households with incomes between $200,000 and $500,000 received in each of the last nine years, the total exceeds $74,000.
$74,000 / nine years is $8222 a year. About 2.5% a year.
  • The sum of the average annual tax cuts delivered to households with incomes between $500,000 and $1 million exceeds $189,000 over the last nine years.
$189,000 / nine years is $21000 a year. About 3% a year.
Was that supposed to be a shocking figure?
