As you know, many voters voted or Trump due to "economic anxiety" due in large part to jobs moving to China, a problem which necessitates new anti-China tariffs to the tune of 45%.
But Donald Trump just said that he no longer considers China a currency manipulator.
The "currency manipulator" accusation formed a basis of Trump's argument for tariffs:
