Progressives seem to have a trust issue unless the person is from the government or in a government uniform. How things have changed since the 60's.

Who knows what they will ATTEMPT to do, since they seem to be afraid of their own shadows. What will actually get DONE, however, is up to both a Republican legislature, which has neither a veto nor filibuster proof majority, AND a democrat president who has shown himself to be completely unable to step outside his rigid ideology and compromise to pass effective legislation. IOW, there will a lot of shouting and finger pointing, and maybe the loss of more freedoms, none of which will stop the next shooter. The best we can hope for is for more concealed carry permit holders.

Since the majority of mass shootings take place in Chicago, I propose we execute Rahm, close Chicago, and imprison black males. Problem solved. Then make it a job requirement that govt workers carry a weapon at work. Including teachers. Voila, no more mass shootings.

That's far from the truth, see below. It is a problem in most of the country.

Not to mention most mass shooters aren't black.

They will further vet law abiding citizens who want to defend themselves with a fire arm and not vet incoming Syrians by the thousands. They will also raise energy prices to help combat terrorism

If the GOP does NOTHING, it would be better than the Dim solution.

You're right in that it won't effect the largest category of Mass Killings which is drug slaughters in major cities like Chicago and Detroit which have been run by Democratic Socialists Fools for many decades---but you pinheaded Liberals don't much care about those.

Muslims, in proportion to their share of the population are obviously the second, perhaps the most, dangerous of any group.....and they have NO FUCKING Constitutional right to come to this country.

They need, it appears, about 4 more centuries to develop a civilized concept of humanity, and a recognition of the Separation between Church and State---then we might can consider letting some into the country. Until then, its simply too risky for innocent Americans.
